While it's not 100% as likely, an Uber (or Lyft) driver can get kickbacks too. A better option would be to know where you're going and request a ride to somewhere right near it (a restaurant for instance).

Only problem with this is if you go late at night, as I stupidly found out on my first visit to Vegas many years ago. Research the area before you go out to see what's around and what's open at the time you want to go.

I tend to sigh when people ask this type of question. I know people don't want to go too far from where they are staying, but the general rule is 'closer to the strip, more likely they will rip you off'.

Most of the good parlors were down near MCCarron, and a haul to get to. But they have pretty much dried up. When they cleaned up that road and repaved, they seemed to crack down all at the same time. I miss yuki and Rio and Sakura. Then, there was papillon over near 7-11 and Pizza Hut. My poor beloved city! 😢.

As of recent, most parlors have dried up. If you find one it'll be overpriced. Best bet is to go with a reviewed provider. There's no shortage of that here. Just RTFF and TOFTT as they say. Good luck.
