Was the tip left prior to discussing the menu? Regardless, from what I have read here that seems to be about the standard amount for CB. I would have done the same thing as far as requesting someone else as well, although it sounds as if she decided to stay and accept your "meager" tip. If so, that definitely should have been an indication that subpar service lay ahead since in her eyes your compensation to her was inadequate.
