Nothing worse then waking up to that "Hey" text from 5 am, responding and then silence. FML going to be a long day at work now. No intentions of seeing anyone today (ok well this morning), but now it consumes my thoughts for the day.

Seems Folk Art and I have similar tastes. Ally is very friendly and took direction well from me too. Her $50 SS is perhaps the bigger steal. Evidence of candy and Mountain Dew use. She pretty overwhelmed with all the texting she is receiving on her flip phone.

Haha yeah I think we all got it. I was actually dumb enough to try to set something up only to drive an hour out of my way and go in late to work only to have her inform me as I was arriving that something came up and she'd need an hour. Probably one of you other sobs swooped just before me.

So there are no "rules" around how to introduce yourself to a potential provider. Your text is not offensive, but it's rather generic. It says (almost) nothing about you or about the intended meeting. If she gets 10 or 20 texts, why should she pick you?

Here's a couple of suggestions.

1. Put her name in the first line. "Hello, Gina. " It personalizes the note; everyone likes to be addressed by their name, even if it's a stage name.

2. Providers dislike it when you don't read their ad. Personalize the note further to show you've read it. "I'm seeking a bbw like you. ".

3. Compliment her when you can. "Nice red dress!

Maybe others have additional / better suggestions. . .

Tried several times to connect with her yesterday via phone & text to no avail. Crickets. Not sure why these girls post and then not answer.

Anyway, I will try again today to see if I have any better luck.
