Just seems logical to me to be way more careful than these guys were. I feel sorry for them, they will be paying a high cost for their unwillingness to wait and do some research.

To your point about being blatant. In Orange County, California, I was propositioned in a lobby of an AMP and I immediately thought it was a sting. Prior to that I had never been so blatantly propositioned before even entering the room. However, based on reviews and word of mouth from friends, I went ahead.
