Ok I've been a hobbyist since the mid 80's. I've had two run ins with handlers over those years. First one busted in on me and some skank and claimed to be a cop. But he had no badge but he did have a gun so I walked. 2nd one I encountered was after a dream at a notel. For some crazy reason that chick thought I was going to let her have the room key for the rest of the night. When I refused she called her boy a big black dude. It was daytime and it was a decent notel room close to the front office. He confronted me outside by my car and said I made a deal to let her have the room for the night. I just laughed and told him to try that scam on the next guy. He started to act tough until I squared up with him and told him I was going to kick his ass if he didn't get the fuck away from me. He split with the girl and she was bitching at him all the way out of ear shot. LOL other than that I've just had a few girls tell me their pimp was in the other room and if I didn't leave that there would be trouble. With the exception of once I always took my money back before leaving. In the early days I had a couple pick pockets get my wallet while giving a BJ in the front of the car. Thats an easy pick for them when your minds on oither things. After the 2nd time I always took other percautions with valuables. I had one SW back in the 80's who did not perform well for the deal we had so I took her on a joy ride in a hopped up mustang I was driving. Michigan turn around west bound and down with a plain crown vic following me. They never lit me up just followed me a couple blocks and turned around. I'd say it was a close call. But I knew it was a trap when she didn't get in. All I had said to her was " if you need a ride hop in" she said no she needed to make some $$ and to meet her at the room. I ended up driving back about an hour later and seen some schlep cuffed and car on a tow truck. The girl was standing there too. I never fear anyone for the color of their skin only for their lifestyle. If you have more to lose than someone else just walk away. Some of these chicks count on that. Always try to get your donation back if possible but don't push it its just not worth it. The second encounter I had with the pimp outside the notel was not wearing a shirt and had on shorts so I was able to tell he wasnt armed so I stood up to him. He tried that black bully crap with me but in the end he walked away.

I have been dabbling with this hobby for a while and I have never had a so-called pimp of any race run up on me, it's just funny to me how people in the Detroit metro area feel the need to insert race into some things like it adds to the drama (i.e. Pimp = Black Pimp).

I agree, I do not get to venture out anymore, once a year, I started back in the Cass corridor, yellow page, metro times era. Only one set up I was worried about, not by a pimp but by LEO. Keep one hand in your pocket and the other waving a peace sign!
