Sooooooooo, this weekend started off horribly. I couldn't eat or drink for two days and couldn't breathe. After hundreds of dollars and 3 trips to the e. If *I* were ever arrested, here's what I would do: first, say NOTHING. They'll offer an easier time for cooperation, but they don't actually have that authority (are they moonlighting as prosecutors? The big thing is to never, ever talk to the police; your attorney does that.

Great advice Ozy and I completely agree with you. You have the right to an attorney and you have the right to not self incriminate by having said attorney. Don't speak or sign or agree to anything until you have representation and even then, only allow your attorney to do everything. The police can arrest you and even charge you but that's it. It's up to the District Attorney and the judge to indict you and its up to the court to figure out if your guilty or innocent.
