(1) One problem with the ignore list is for instance, there is a particular poster who keeps on saying this girl or that girl that I've seen has STD and I contracted them because I saw her. I don't want to miss that post because it's an attack against me and certain girls. I agree. So-called personal "kill files" with identifiers of undesirable posters were common on the old usenet, and it would often lead to the formation of cliques (like in high school). Members of a clique used to have similar kill files. Thus, posting one's kill file was a big deal, but some people would occasionally follow-up to a post by indicating the poster just went into their kill file. The way to do that was to follow up like this: *plonk*.

As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't make sense to form cliques in a small low-volume community, which on top of that is dedicated to spreading information, not withholding it.
