You might call this a small network of providers who are willing to share information with each other. This is very much the exception because these providers know each other very well. Remember this is the backpage forum you are on and not the preferred provider sites which require references from other preferred providers.

Fact here is that not only most providers don't do references, almost nobody does. You guys can decide for yourself. Just call your last 4 or 5 providers and ask them for a reference and see how it goes. Don't be surprised though if your former provider gets pissed off with you.

I have given references for clients to many of the providers on here and have checked references when I felt it was necessary to do so (not everytime however) . I, like most girls on here, have zero issue with giving a reference as it keeps us safe. I don't look it as losing a client becaue next week I may need to call a fellow provider for her reference. Most long term providers on here know each other, some of us are actual friends, and yes some of us do socialize. I don't see the harm in asking for a reference especially since it shows a providers worried about her safety and yours!
