It is easy to "think" one is doing something illegal if one is not knowledgeable of the law or facts. What may seem bad in common terms is often not interpreted that way by the law.

So here is the PA Code on promoting:

(b) Promoting prostitution. A person who knowingly promotes
Prostitution of another commits a misdemeanor or felony as
provided in subsection (c) of this section. The following acts
shall, without limitation of the foregoing, constitute promoting
Prostitution:

(1) owning, controlling, managing, supervising or.
otherwise keeping, alone or in association with others, a
house of prostitution or a prostitution business.

(2) procuring an inmate for a house of prostitution or a
place in a house of prostitution for one who would be an
Inmate;.

(3) encouraging, inducing, or otherwise intentionally
causing another to become or remain a prostitute;.

(4) soliciting a person to patronize a prostitute;.

(5) procuring a prostitute for a patron;.

(6) transporting a person into or within this
Commonwealth with intent to promote the engaging in
Prostitution by that person, or procuring or paying for
transportation with that intent;.

(7) leasing or otherwise permitting a place controlled
by the actor, alone or in association with others, to be
regularly used for prostitution or the promotion of
Prostitution, or failure to make reasonable effort to abate
such use by ejecting the tenant, notifying law enforcement
Authorities, or other legally available means; or.

(8) soliciting, receiving, or agreeing to receive any
benefit for doing or agreeing to do anything forbidden by
this subsection.

So you all and your attorneys decide if soliciting a person to patronize a prostitute can be derived from sharing telephone numbers of a girl? In my opinion, fwiw, it appears as if the definition of "soliciting" is key here. If you do not "solicit" some one to visit a prostitute, in my opinion, it appears as though one would be OK.

But hey, that is just my opinion and not the opinion of a lawyer, so take it for what it is. It should not be construed as advice in any shape or form, just an opinion.

I read PA code too. Listen, just like Craig's list, cannibal cop, and internet porn along with the like. The cops, FBI etc. Have a record of every post, every email and every log on. Be smart. I support your choices 100%. You can never be to cautious. But as a senior member you have a pretty good idea who to trust on here. I very rarely ask for contact info on here for any number of reasons. None has to do with fear of who I'm dealing with. Over the years I have formed a trust with many members here that works well for me. There are simple ways to share info with those you know and don't know without putting yourself in jeopardy. Never ever promote prostitution or any other sexual activity. With someone unknown to you.

When sharing contact info just refer to the info as a meeting. What happens after the meeting you have no control over. That responsibility falls squarely upon the shoulders of the recipient. When involved in this activity there is always a certain amount of common sense one must use. Think before you jump. Look before you cross. Think before you open your mouth. All stuff mom taught us.

Another safety precaution is as having two phones. One disposable with no connecting info to you. This number can be used as a playmate phone. Use this phone for all activity you don't wish on your private line.

I and many I know adhere to this policy like glue. That's just two safety measures one can take to be safe. Please feel free to offer any other suggestions other Mongers may have. Always delete any incriminating text. Never ever let the phone out of your sight unless it is locked.

Hello I'm from the Connecticut boards. Going to be visiting the Philly area this weekend. I've been reading all the good info you all been posting but I'm unfamiliar with all the street and area abbreviations that's being used. Can someone pm me and point me in the right direction for my best bet to look for LSW's? I promise to post anything I find to contribute. Any help would be appreciated.

Hate to be "that guy" but if you have been reading the boards, I wonder how you missed the answer to that question, since it gets rehashed here every other month or so. Shoot trying going to the MAIN Philly page and scrolling down to the user blogs and MAYBE, just MAYBE one will find what they need?

It gets so frustrating spoon feeding all that wander in here and want info. Sigh. Nothing ever comes back: not a "thanks for pointing me in the right direction", nor a report on what was found or wasn't found. Just give me, give me, give me!

Everything you said is right and I've been locked up before so I definitely am aware of those guidelines you pointed out there in the last paragraph. First and foremost respect the info and knowledge of the person the request is being made of. Remember he has something you don't and that you want. You will never get it by being an asshole. What he has that you most likely want he acquired at some legal risk to himself. Now it would be nice to offer the Monger a number in exchange for what you are asking of him. After all there's no good reason I can see for him to share what he has if you offer nothing in return for his service.

Second if your request has been reasonably met show your appreciation. By that I mean if you contact the girl, send the Monger a PM and let him know how things went.

Don't be afraid to write a report / review and let others know of your adventure. That is what the site is all about. Sharing information. It's really not a lot to ask.

There's a certain code all of us should follow. That is to keep the site interesting enough and informative enough to function the way it should.

Hoarding phone numbers while they are on does nobody any good. Especially the girl. She's the one that suffers not the Monger. So why not put the girl in touch with potential business. Just something that keeps the wheels of the site turning.

Everybody needs to do their part. There are a bunch of do nothings on here that continually have their hand out and there is never anything in it. They know who they are. They are the takers and not the givers. So if you can't be a giver as well as a taker don't ask for assistance. Keeping in the front of you mind that dick will not suck itself. You may agree or disagree and I really don't give a shit, but we all need each other here to move forward. I agree with Sacramento to a degree. Yet it's not fair to all involved in particular the girl to lump everybody into the same bowl of soup. Some just need a nudge. So give them the opportunity to contribute back. If they prove to be useless takers like some are the best you can do is share that info with other senior members so they can also avoid any pitfalls with that person.

The board is about help and keeping us safe. Sharing information is valuable. If a gal gives me a number, I normally evaluate the situation, one size does not fit all. I will also share my experiences the few times I have done so.
