I've been there a couple of times and I asked if I could park my own car and pay the $10 fee, and I was told no both times. Of course both times the guy was a middle aged loser whose IQ was about what they charge to park.

So how did you not give them time to argue? Did you just drive past them and park yourself?

There's also the "valet parking". At Flight Club in Inkster they require you to give them your car keys and let them park your car (for a fee, I think $10). I asked them if I could park my own car and give them the $10, and they said no, so I never go there. BT's in Dearborn had valet parking, but I believe you can find a free place to park nearby. I've heard of the valet parking guys not letting people in if they just walk up (after parking their own car nearby).

I didn't have any problem the one time I visited and told them I don't let anyone drive my car and would park the car myself and gave them the $10. Then again I didn't give them time to argue. If you are out of town you can also tell them it's a rental and your rental agreement doesn't allow anyone else to drive it, I doubt the club has the insurance anyway to cover any damage done by the valet. The guy I handed the money to barely looked old enough to drive as it is, and one of the valets could barely drive the pickup truck he was trying to park.

They definitely aren't being very good at choosing people to park. I can maybe see having valet parking at a more upscale downtown club, but not in such a depressed area where Flight club exists I don't see a use for it, but it is what it is. Then again if you refuse then you can just leave.

The only place I know of that has the 2 drink minimum is Henry the 8th South. I didn't know about it the last time I went there. They enforce it when you want to go to the VIP. If you haven't already had 2 drinks they won't let you go to the VIP until you pay for the $10 wrist band AND buy a second drink. If you want you can just leave. They can't force you to pay for a second drink, they won't call the police, they'll just ask you to leave, which is what you want to do anyway. So, it's not really "2 drink minimum" unless you want to use the VIP.

We'd have to know what clubs you go to if we are to give you good information. If you're looking for a club to go to it would be good for us to know what part of town you want to find a club. But, I've really never run into a girl who wouldn't do a vip with me because I wasn't a "regular". The girls might ignore you, especially if she has regulars in the bar who she knows. If you're a stranger to her, she doesn't know if you'll want dances or if you're a cop. If she, or her friends, have had you before, she'll be more likely to seek you out.

Girls that perform extras at good prices are the ones who have lots of "regulars". Guys (like me) wants a girl who gives a good bbbj, so those girls have lots of regulars wanting to see them. Girls who are fat, old, ugly, or who don't do good extras won't have regulars, so they'll be likely to be coming around talking to guys.

All the clubs I go to make you buy a wristband for $10 to go to the VIP, except the Sliver Cricket during the dayshift doesn't charge the VIP fee. I wouldn't call it "bouncer tipping", I never tip bouncers. But, the guy you buy the wristband from is a bouncer, and so is the guy who collects the cover charge when you first enter the bar.

Everest, the reason chicks like this use a term like "creepy" is that it really offends their world view to learn that a large portion of their own personal self worth is made apparent for how bald and superficial it actually is. Let me explain.

First off, I found the video you describe. Search for "Ashley Ortega" if you are curious to watch it too. She openly posts on Youtube under that name. Her story is that she and her friend were looking for something crazy to do late in the night (actually early morning) after partying and gambling at the casino. Devoid of any interesting ideas, they decide to visit a place that is clearly not marketing itself to her and her friend, other than as a place of potential employment. But she tells the story as though none of that matters, she should be able to visit the establishment, gawk at and judge the other patrons, and act indignantly when the door person interacts in the only manner that would be sensible when confronted with these visiters. By assuming they want work.

Obviously, a huge part of this young lady's self worth is invested in her estimation of her own sexual appeal. And witnessing men enjoying themselves without cowtowing to her world view is shocking and devaluing. Not to the women working in the club, but to her. She recognizes that whatever attactiveness she possesses can in fact be the subject of a simple, and low cost encounter. This is huge, it shatters her notion that men must throw themselves at her for her attention, open doors for her, beg for a date, pay for her every wish, just for the slim chance that she might continue to allow the sucker to bask in her glory. Seeing all that thrown out the window for the shallow bullshit that it is. It's crippling for her, which is what happens when she sees women engaging in a reasonable, and consensual encounter for some quick money.

So this crushing realization leaves her searching for any venom she can spew at the best target she can muster, the mongers. They must be creeps, in her world view. Otherwise, if they are just guys, just healthy adults enjoying a simple entertaining encounter, then, well, she really doesn't amount to much. That is why, to her, we are creeps.

I think most guys, like me, don't think much of this. I recognize it for what it is, sad, defeatist, and petty, but not really worth my attention. If you force me to have an opinion of her, I'd probably say that. She is a creep for seeking to protect and define her own self value by offending others who have no opinion or thought, neither positive nor negative, of her.

STORYTIME" by a girl named Ashley ortega. So she is talking about her first ever visit to a strip club on her 19th birthday. And in this video blog of hers, she kept referring to male strip club patrons as 'creepy men'. She said that so many times.

Hey JohnGeste sorry to hear about your experience but you and everyone needs to know that this is all about the $$$ and nothing about fighting crime but I am sure you know that already. I heard on the radio this week that the Detroit pension fund is short of being funded by $500,000,000. Those cops are looking at their benefits and nothing else.

I think you're short a zero. The total underfunding is $3. 5 Billion as of 4-5 yrs ago. The last estimated payment required was off by your 500 Million ($485 actually). Last info I saw had 61% of the pension participants retired and 39% active workers. It was probably designed to have a ratio of 5-7 actives for 1 retired back in the day.

I was visiting Players' last Wednesday. Enjoying myself. And after a couple of hours of socializing went upstairs with a nice young lady called Sugar. After one song there was quite a commotion outside the booth (the time was close to 3:15 pm) with somebody insisting that "you can't go in there". We were scrambling around and soon enough in came a Detroit vice cop. In all about 6 or 7 cops came in to Players to investigate. Or extort. However you see it. Sugar received two tickets. For exposed breasts and also I believe for exposed breasts when leaving the stage (I'm not sure how the got that one). It could have been worse as we were only one song into our session. Anyhow. Another girl told me they had been raided previously and she was ticketed for the same offense and the ticket cost was $350. I stuck around after the raid to unwind. I did ask the manager. Beau why they didn't try to have some sort or early warning system. For gosh sakes at least have the DJ kill the music or something. He didn't give me a good answer in my judgement. I told Sugar I would go to court for her as a witness as to my comprehension she did have her top on when the cop entered our booth. Her panties were in my pocket by then but that wasn't the point of law in question. Interesting experience. Hopefully crossed off my bucket list for good. And all in all not very satisfying! It is good to know that law and order in Detroit has been so firmly established that the police department is able to squander resources harassing honest working girls trying spread a little happiness!

I am in my mid forties but look younger (so I have been told) and I have a hard time having a girl approach me even after tipping on stage (except for my ATF at Cracker Jaxx). My experience from having lived and mongered overseas (Asia, Europe, see. America) is that older men with younger women is more acceptable elsewhere. And sex in general is more acceptable for both sexes to be interested in. While here in our more and more feminized Cuntry, men are stigmatized for our need for sex, and women pretend to be prim / proper but are just as 'creepy' as us behind closed doors. Sorry for the soapbox spew, but that post simply hit a nerve.
