I tried really hard not to use the word "upsell / moving the goalposts," but that is what it was. In other words, you go there with one number in mind, a number derived from the source of the ad, and one assumption of bliss. But once you get to first base, the second base, third base and home plate have been upsold.

There was nothing funny about it. I can tolerate one upsell begrudgingly, but anymore than that and I am now frustrated.
