I've noticed a lot of Escort reports in the Backpage section here. I know they advertise on Backpage but wouldn't it be better if they were reported in the Escort section? If I wanted to check on Escorts that would be where I would look.

It has always been my position that the Escort Section is for providers that do not advertise on BP. Often these girls cost a little more than their BP sisters or may work through an agency. Usually the escorts do not advertise as openly. Nothing wrong with this but the BP girls belong in the BP section (with links, please.).

As true as that is for DPD, certain elements also hold true for the smaller suburbs. I have a paralegal background in addition to my friends in other areas of LE and offices in the Judicial branches. Come on. Every time a high level bust does happen (and it's usually agencies because over a certain number of SPs you manage or handle you fall under Human Trafficking laws. As in I know where the Call Center was physically located, though I was not a client or an agency employee. But I still knew where it was and how it operated) the majority of those on these lists are LE, politicos and others in the higher ends of enforcement and adjudication circles. But for hobbyists and mongers that don't use agencies nor give background information so as to be vetted. What's the worry. It still costs time, money and resources to set up a sting operation. If anything would be hit, I would think that I-75/14 mile area everyone seems to post they are working from. I've been curious if this is an agency that runs girls from an apartment building, or residency rooms at one cooperating motel, or what? Seems to be a TON of girls working in that one location. And too many for what these SPs are usually comfortable with regarding competition.

Well, this is my first post, so might as well make it a bang-up of one, right?

So, I'm a long time hobbyist, but I usually keep to myself. Why? Who's interests are better protected than my own that way. Exactly.

But, lately I've been seeing on boards a lot of people throwing around LE like its a big thing in the area. Now, my close friend, let's call him Officer Doofy, works for the DPD in the VICE department. I asked him what their stance was on SPs:

"As long as its just a girl, trying to make a living? We could care less. Its when they start doing switch ups, cash and dash, robbery, trade services for narcotics and controlled substances. Well, that's when we take umbrage. A working girl is just that, working. But when she tries to rob or defraud someone, exchanges services for illegal substances. Well, that gets into the general welfare. Two adults exchanging companionship and cash? So what. We're all w. Hores to our jobs, they just don't pay taxes!

He goes on to explain that the sheer amount of time, organizational administration and MONEY spent on a "sting" is cost prohibitive to target any one locale or person, place or time. In general, yeah, LE cruises through motel and hotel parking lots (I'd be more worried about those chains and companies that share guest info with LE: http://www.copblock.org/120897/motel...eir-knowledge/) and keeps and eye and ear out for suspicious activity. They won't stop us from walking to a room, nor will they stop us leaving one as we walk to our car. Ever heard of illegal search and seizure? And Michigan is not a Stop and Identify, or Stop and Frisk state. So, keep your plates legal, your tail lights working and you'll be fine.

In short, if its a fake ad (and shame, shame on you for not doing five minutes of Google time to find out), fake pics, or just plain weird, odds are its a bad deal. If she's got some reviews, good or bad, more likely a legit SP. Bad reviews? I've learned to read between the lines on these to know who's butt-hurt, which ones are pimps and agencies trying to squash an SP's business, and which ones voice legitimate concerns. For me, it's like everything else in Life; How do you know you're doing something right? People hate on you. I'm more comfortable going with an SP that's shown some investment in herself. TER reviews? Check. Website (not a T. Umblr or freebie WIX or something, but one she's laid out cash for hosting and all that) Check. Only ever had -one- phone number to her name? Check. All of her pics reverse search to only her (images.google.com is your FRIEND, use it!) Check. It's my hard earned cash. I'm going to do all the due diligence I can to spend it wisely. You should too.
