US citizens and permanent residents are subject to the laws of the USA irrespective of where the person is located at the time. So, for example, possessing and smoking pot in international waters is still a violation of US law.

I don't know how states have dealt with the issue--that is, is a resident of, say, Florida who is currently in Mexico subject to the same 'wiretap' law regarding recording a phone call that s / he would be if the call were entirely within Florida?

Just another example of how it's so easy to get caught up in the "three felonies a day" and end up in the pokey for something you didn't know you did, let alone knowing it was illegal.

You are saying that a US citizen can be arrested for smoking pot or doing cocaine while he is in a smoke den in Amsterdam! Not sure if you went to Warton or Yale or maybe Jakes community college. Really irrespective of where that person is.

And when is it the CIA or MERC has been held by US law. When our Government is able to search my computer, email, texts all my contacts etc. Under the guise of homeland security. Hell, thy don't have to "Wiretap". We all have given them permission to have our pictures, text, contacts and gave hem the right to modify our phones take our pass codes, read an acceptance term next time you down load of the play store or your Apple prod, we all say Yes. And who is buying up all the "acceptance, with permission to access" lists. Sure, the US gov, we are all helping them build a huge human catalog.

But anyway, the Patriot act, specifically (sec214) " trap and trace" but mostly the FISA previously allowing searches or wiretaps to gather information on foreign intelligence. But after the patriot act was passed, almost overnight, Now, if a judge anywhere in the US signs off on a pen register warrant it is good Anywhere in the US. This also applies to text, Internet VoIP, email phone conversation and letters. I'm tiered sleep now.

That's very funny (yeah I believe her) these chicks try to play us for suckers especially when you see them in public and act like you don't know them. Especially when they off an on with dudes. I haven't heard from her in a while either and right about the time posts popped up asking whether or not anyone else has heard from her, I received a text from her. We couldn't meet up until a couple of weeks later though. When I did get to see her, she asked me, I repeat SHE ASKED me, if I heard the rumor going around about her. I asked if the one about her being engaged and she said "yes".

She asked me to relay the message back, to where ever I heard / read it, stating that the rumor is false and that she's not engaged. So without putting more of myself out there and why I believe her, there it is. Take it or leave it, I'm just relaying the message.

This girl has had a number of ads up the last few weeks. A google search shows older ads with different pics of the same girl, not just the ones in the school girl outfit. No tineye hits. The only thing that's got me worried is the fact that she requests texts only. Thats normally the reverse of how it works and with that exposing johns website scam, it had my spidey senses tingling.

Anyone have any info on this one?
