I don't think jailbreaking will really help in this scenario though, and she will wonder why his phone acts different (boot screen will change amongst other things.) Haven't jailbroken in a while but I'm pretty sure it hasn't changed. Using airplane mode and switching off wifi will only let iCloud and the location services know your last known location. Thats when those large green circles come in and show this was the last known area the phone was in, but he obviously won't be able to use his phone like normal with airplane mode on. Also if he intermittently turns it on and off to use his phone it'll give him away. Never had to set up call forwarding to my monger phone but that sounds like smartest thing to do. He can get a cheap droid and have the best of both worlds then. It's what I do but I'm a nerd LOL.

The low tech solution is the optimal solution and offers less risk.

Spoofing apps only affect how apps read the gps data. It does not impact the actual GPS data that your wife would see.

If you must have only 1 phone, you can look into jailbreaking. This basically voids your warranty but provides access to the "other" side of the operating system. However, the jailbreak method depends on your phone model and iOS version. This is risky and offers no guarantees.

Plus you may have to explain to the wife, why your phone doesn't work like hers anymore.

Go with the low tech solution. You can always say you were in a meeting if she calls while you are out mongering.
