Posts: 335Looks like they are students attending school here. Look very young. In their 20's. The customers probably were also students or working here in the tourist infustry. Since I am old, fat and fugly, they are not interested in me and I have absolutely no interest in them. Oh well no loss on my part.

Different demographic now that the majority of hostesses are from China.
Very few local customers; most were from China and all looked like refugees.
The girls took very good care of their countrymen, but the local guys got RIPPED OFF BLIND. Some of the hostesses applied all the old skool BG tricks behind the customer's back, such as diluting shots or substituting non-alcohol type liquids of similar appearance. They were drinking as fast as I've ever seen. The Chinese customers on the other hand got free time with the girl, only eventually having to buy an OCCASIONAL drink.
Was like night and day. I tell you! No wonder locals didn't go there. All they got to do now is replace the Korean mama and staff, and we'll have another Club C'est La Vie.
"C'est La Vie", I reckon.

He know he get one good thing going and lucky get plenty guys willing to kokua. No more too many places with big bar counters in operation anymore in that area (perfect for his type of customer base). Nothing lasts forever, so got to have plans A & be. Things do seem to go his way, though (for now).

Posts: 273Bother Jerome, don't blow a good thing!
I am sorry to hear you drinking too much, but you have to come to work no matter what, if cannot handle need to moderate your drinking. There is always tomorrow. . but not if you keep calling in sick be careful, you don't want to blow this job, because like brother MF said better than working for the bi-polar owner. You know that. I still can't believe the talent owner works so hard for so little gains. That place without the day crowd will sink, that's too bad.

GO, you right. He there (officially), M-F, 0700-1300 hrs. , as day bartender. Sometimes he 'sick' from night before and no come work; he needs to fix that. The gang is there because better than dealing with the bs by cuckoo owner at Talent.

Posts: 903Spend big or go home
I am sorry to hear you got ditched, they took a new guy over you. Bet that new guy has some bucks in his wallet, give him some time, when his wallet squeezed out, he will be going down the same path with you.
Most BGs carry this motto " spend big or go home", time has changed, they don't approach any average Joe anymore.

Something not making sense here. SP3 is at 1420 Kapiolani, Thai Angel is at 1429 Makaloa. TA is registered under Financial Partners Ltd. I think you know where I'm going with this.

Posts: 5236Oh, Saigon Passion the SB and not Saigon Palace the hostess bar. I can see the hostess bar doing that, but AFAIK (I could be very mistaken) SP3 doesn't do that, though the stripper / hostess will take you for a ride.

When the daytime revenues larger than the evening. Talent owner was giving the high-fives to day bartenders when they counted the cash. Even the night KBGs coming in day shift to make money. International pretty much the same.
Hope this is just temporary as day shift doesn't need the attention and "watchful eyes. ".

Posts: 552So you are talking about Saigon Passion the strip bar on Makaloa St. , not Saigon Palace the hostess bar on Sheridan St. Big difference between the two. When you write Saigon under the hostess bar thread, assumption is you are talking about Saigon Palace, not Saigon Passion.

Posts: 273Ran charges together, input error?
So the total was about $500/$300. Then looks like the bartender was drunk and when she inputted the charges she didn't wait and ran the charges together. I am curious what the F% is trust charges? And yeah your story was confusing hate to say it bud but sounds like the pga Aussie who got drunk in the wine bar and fell flat on his face bruised his face and passed out in the bushes and claimed he was mugged and kidnapped. LOL, go to let loose but you need to have some buds watching your back. Anyway hope this is resolved to your satisfaction. SP has been around a long time and although been over a decade since I went there if Johnny still around you really don't want to mess with him Vietnamese have been thru the war, life was cheap and we have all mellowed with age but if still runs the place, please don't make trouble, strip clubs were never my forte anyway, but to each his own. Be safe and good luck! Next time bring CASH!
