FM, I agree that a more direct approach might pay dividends. Based on my prior experience though, the direct approach has the potential to make a skittish SB go dark.

I, like you, have found the young ones to be skittish and shy. Getting them to the m&g and beyond takes a lot of work, but often well worth the trouble.
