Just sign up for Google Voice. The widget on android can turn the do not disturb off / on to not call forward txt & call. Also turn on or off using the Google Voice number on out going calls.

Also if I have your contact info the only reason I even try to text I never just call out the blue I only text a simple hey message and if I don't get a response then I leave it alone I don't blow up phones or call out the blue my regulars can tell you that I will text just get and if they don't text back I wait for them to contact me back if not then I just leave it alone or delete the number if no response after a while like a week or so I do have respect for people and if I was to blow up their phone that's not showing respect and respect is a very big deal with me just as smoking I ask if it bothers you and if it does I won't smoke around you period and I feel like you earn respect it's not given.
