I agree with your sentiments 100%. She will be missed as we turn our eyes to other providers, try new things. However, those of us who have been around know, this is possibly the fourth time she has fallen in love and retired. I agree 100% it is very hard not to be selfish in the hobby, but if you have spent time with GGW you know understand that she was something rare and special. Given time I believe she would have created a new category in the hobby "BFE" Best Friend Experience. The difference between a BFE and GFE is a BFE is not concern with running through the standard checklist that a typical quality GFE provides.
