Yeah, they are talking about the I-195 land which is around the corner, within easy walking distance, from Desire. There may even be some views from Lust. Not so sure the state would want to give up the property for a ballpark though.

We started holding "fests" like 6 years ago I think, it's been quite awhile and it started out with basically Gansett and myself meeting up, having a few beers and sharing info and advice. We then started asking other mongers that seemed to be real actual proven veteran's if they'd like to meet up also. Over the years, I've personally met over 2 dozen others without any real issues. I've both shared info (contact info, reviews etc) and gotten some in return as well. A few are VERY trusted and are more of an "inner circle" where you know you can share info, ask for advice and not get screwed over.

As for invites, it's not just up to me. I judge a person not by their post count (too many are inflated) but by whether they're CONTRIBUTORS and can bring something to the table. Over the years, we had like 100 no shows too that swore they'd be there and then chickened out. Bottom line, if you've been around awhile, have contributed and want to attend you've got a good shot. Of course, that's assuming you got the balls to show up.

If you're a troll, an ass or a lurker that's going to be begging for handouts you don't have much of a shot of being invited. You can get an invite from myself OR others that have attended multiple fests and are TRUSTED enough to vouch for you. Guys like the Godfather aka Gansett, Daddy, Muffy, TP and etc can issue invites as well.

We have guys that are into AMP's, BP, CL and the streets so it's not just one area either. The best part is that you'll get to know guys that you don't and if you're open to it LEARN but also have access to info that you may not get otherwise.

Sitting home with $90 bucks left till Friday. Just got boxed in in the driveway of my apartment since I there's a parking ban. Then at midnight there is a driving ban. So of course I have an unusually high urge to run out and spend the last of my money to at least catch a bop before being stuck in for possibly a coup of days.
