I missed the original question, but there's a good point there. You still need to be careful on how you handle business on the world wide web, and that includes being able to figure things out.

There's no need to email anyone. You sign up for "free", pay them the $25 to clear. Fuck 2 cheap hags to get the starter network, and fuck to your heart's desire / wallet's capabilities.

If you go through the thread, there's been discussions on how to get things going on the site after signing up. Good luck.
