I was caught once by an undercover when they had me and patted me down and found I only had 20 cents yes that right 2 dimes as opposed to the 2 dimes THAT she thought I was talking about they got a laugh out of it she didn't and had them haul me off to southern district they wanted to impound my car but I told them to leave it spent like ten hours before I was let go got my lawyer explained that it was a joke which that particular time it was even the cops laughed about it and admitted it in court but the female was acting like a real ***** and wanted me to get some kind of judgement against me that she twisted the whole thing around I got a probation before judgment and they had to read what "happened" that night which actually didn't the crazy thing was one of the cops apologized and told me that she was pissed off that I had the change and called herself making an example of me.

Maryland does not have a "intent to solicit prostitution" law. So they cops can cite with you a indecent exposure charge. If a person were cited then there is a good chance the city attorney will drop the case if they have a aggressive attorney or ask for a trial. Usually the city attorney does not want to waste a lot of resources on a minor offense. Not so sure about impound, but I believe they can hold the car for 48 hours. Usually the best thing to do is to remain silent.

Unfourntunately, I've been caught 4 or 5 times by Baltimores Finest. 1st rule is to NEVER admit that it was a PFP session. One time I stated that both my and the young lady were spoken for and couldn't afford a room so we decided to get "freaky" and "do it" outside, and to my surprise, they drove off and gave us 15 minutes to get out of there. On two other separate occasions I was caught by the same Officer, the 1st one told me that 3 strikes I'm out, so don't let him catch me there again. The 2nd Officer was more of a "dick" even thought we were finishined "doing the do" he still tried to make us admit to us having sex, called for backup and the helicopter and 4 other units showed up because of where we were, but we stuck to our story and never admitted to doing anything but sitting and talking. But the 2nd time was over a year later and the same Officer caught me coming out of my "secret" location,(and still to this day I don't know what he was doing back there), and he remembered me. Of course he called for backup and 3 other units responded, but and I EMPHASIZE, DO NOT ADMIT TO BREAKING ANY LAW!! We stuck to our story and I added a tidbit about out in the park looking for "Bigfoot", which the other Officers thought was hilarious and they let us go after they check us out, but I imagine that if I ran across that Officer again, for any minor incident, that if he could that he would lock me up in a heartbeat. It's funny to think about this now, but it wasn't at the time but again NEVER ADMIT TO BREAKING LAW. Even though they might make it seem like it's going to be ok if you admit it. Peace.

It's just like any other arrest.

If they have a reason to actually arrest you, or even if they don't but decide to arrest you anyway and let the court sort it out later, you will be handcuffed, your car will be impounded, you will go to central booking where a court commissioner will give you a court date and most likely release you on your own recognizance after a stay of up to 24 hour. Once the cuffs are on stop talking; shut up and get a lawyer. Don't say anything to anyone and get a lawyer. If you are arrested this is your best shot at a clean record. Don't try to do this on your own. If you play your cards right, you may even be able to keep it from the wife.

There's really nothing in between being let go with whatever warning or stern talk and an arrest. Once you are arrested you go through the court system and the courts sort it out. Don't forget that for you the big punishment is just being arrested. Cops know that and use it to extract whatever punishment they can. The charges related to this are difficult to prove so sending you to central booking and to court is a huge deal and their best shot at punishing you.

Good lawyers know all of the details of the law and how to challenge the state's case against you. You might be surprised at what a good one can do for you.
