I agree with you 1000%, if we share info that helps or maybe prevent us who particapate, in our common activities from hurt or harm. I would hope that anyone who endeavors into our sport, understands the "risks" that are attached with our sometimes or presumed risky decision making, but "to each his own". I just don't think I would enjoy this forum if we started engaging in opinions, theory, and personal beliefs; moral or "not so moral". I will consciously make more defined and clear reports from this point on, because I remember when I could read a report and paint a picture of the subject matter, because the report included location, a good description, and the service. Different DNA (that's why good girls as well as naughty girls always itches down there once they start active).

That being said, while wearing a hat usually can prevent infection (unless the person is actively symptomatic). One of the way of minimizing the risk is through washing with ordinary soap and water.

Don't go for the antibacterial kind or the hand sanitizer. The alcohol based stuff actually burns your sensitive skin and create a hole in your skin and the antibacterial ones actually kills off the "good" bacteria in your body. Just use ordinary soap and water and wipe it with your own (paper) towel while singing happy bday song.

Always use lube and always avoid blood. Get circumcised and keep it kosher (no during that time of the month, no in the butt hole and wash before and after) and you be fine.
