There are multiple reasons someone could experience this situation from a provider and the least likely is theyre playing pranks. They want to feel safe and secure too and if their own spidey-sense gives them an inkling that the person who answered their ad is a cop, crazed serial killer, or any one of a number of other undesirables, the only prudent thing for them to do is cut the line and keep fishing.
