Obviously she is gone for good now. The bank said if I waited one more day I would have had to make a police report, so she got off easy. The money was never technically stolen, just attempted to. Also it wasnt payment for sex, she used to hang out here from time to time anyway just to waste my time. Thats why the sugar daddy sites can never get shut down for soliciting like myredbook did.

Oh ok. In that case I would press charges, no questions asked. Just because her forgery did not result in a successful cash payout, she is still guilty of forgery and stealing something that belonged to you from your place of residence, so that's at least two dings on her rap sheet right there.

But I really like the idea of leaving the signed checks for the invalid account laying around with the amount not yet written in. Not to be used as bait on her, since she won't be invited anymore obviously, but simply as a way to test future SBs on whether you can trust them or not, keep track of the check numbers that are in the bait book so you will know when one is gone. Then as a bonus if they turn out to be a thief you get the satisfaction of knowing they tried to cash it only to get their hopes up then let down.
