As I glanced through the pages of (USASG) with bleary eyes, I again, find it necessary, the need to remind myself that this is good intel and that it has come from some very reliable indigenous ground sources, but somehow it failed to reassure me as I breathe out a weary sigh.

"Every moment I delay they get stronger and I become weaker..." as I reflected pensively and stared into the black abyss (actually, a moonless night through a bay window in suburbia).

"No! It's too late for second guessing... The mission must come first!" as my fist thumped softly against the top of a solid (laminated) oak desk.

Next morning;.

The mission finally came down on o' nine hundred hour and I'm ready get it on. But I had to be in Brooklyn Park by by noon if I were make contact with an indigenous provider, in case my mission (a grand reconnoiter of the area) prove to be fruitless.

Other than getting hit on by two girls from some technical school across from the Shell station (on Patapsco) near the 95 exit, the initial insertion for ODA-1 (operational detachment Numero Uno; me) into the LZ was relativity uneventful. Too bad they weren't my type.

This day turned out to be quite warm as blinding glare from above, whitewashing the landscape. Surreal and trance-like... And the natives sure seemed restless...

A bizarre scene was playing out as ODA-1 made its way down Patapsco avenue.

A very attractive bottled redhead (20's) was behaving erratically. Her somewhat large, but prodigies posterior was peeking out, jiggling provocatively from underneath her short, make that outlandishly short mini-skirt. Drawing way too much unwanted attention unto herself as she waddled down the side walk in her six-inch high heels.

Now, if she had chosen a more suitable outfit to accommodate her generously proportioned rear end then, perhaps... But, I digress...

Many attempted a pick-up including ODA-1, but she brushed everyone off as she continued shuffling down towards the 7-11 - all the while her animated antics continue drew much fervent attention from many. Where she was finally approached by two uniforms in a patrol vehicle.

I didn't quite however, get the sense that she was under the influence, per se. She seemed well alert and lucid enough, but just totally enshroud in her own little world of who knows what...

All of a sudden, more uniformed patrols were zipping by from all around...

Well, that does it. This whole area was getting a little too hot to loiter as ODA-1 proceeded to option number two on the far side of sector 10 (Street) where a indigenous contact awaits.

En rout, as the leader of this one-man operation, I caught a glimpse of the local PD's SRT (Special Responds Unit) decked to the hilt (ASSAULTER) as they readied themselves with an operation of their own. Some local homie-boys must be giving them fits.

As the events unfold, any chance of a cool-drop insertion went out the window. The mission is now officially a scrub, ODA-1 must proceed with an immediate evac.

Hopefully, with a little luck, I'll live to fight another day...

I was on Washington Blvd. This past Saturday. I saw this brunette walking. She looked a little to clean to be on that strip. I watched her for a while to ensure she was working. And the monger who went tearing up the ally street to try and catch her the wrong way, I don't know what the fuck he was thinking. To the guy in the black SUV that watched me pick her up and followed for a few blocks, I knew you were there and following. One of the rules are to respect they neighbors and don't draw attention to your self.
