Wouldn't be using the information from here to help prosecute you just be "hearsay" and not even admissable in court unless they could prove who the author was and even then, wouldn't they have to drag the author into court and prove it was him who wrote it?

Typically, they don't use the info from sites like this during the prosecution. However, it can give them probable cause, and that's how it's mostly used.
