I've heard of some providers who like to use prophylactic that aren't latex for whatever reason and I don't really like seeing them. I'm not sure if you aware of this or not but condoms that are made out of stuff like lambskin do not protect from STDs. You may as well be going bareback in my opinion.

I'm not in agreement on this one. It's just not possible for a manufacturer to guarantee any protection against the most feared std (HIV) because it is as it says, a lambskin. Our own skin cannot protect us against std's because of microscopic breaks in the skin; however, it is certainly far better than bareback. Fluids do not get through to carry the virus, but the virus may pass through the membrane. A failed manufacturer guarantee would be worth big money to anyone contracting an std; therefore, no guarantee can be given at all. I once called the manufacturer on this one to discuss, and they could have no discussion at all on the subject. The already small odds of contracting HIV in an encounter are greatly reduced, but not eliminated. Is it worth the enhanced feeling? Let the user decide. Certainly far better than bareback!
