While it may be an open thread I believe A2 has indicated that one main purpose was to keep the main threads focused on actual reviews and not get cluttered with all kinds of sidebars. Consequently since for example a thread already exists about "nostalgia" topics it would seem practical to slot that type of commentary there.

Personally I welcome a provider's viewpoint however one reason I was against providers posting was the inevitable sucking up that was sure to follow. I have been guilty of this in the past as well. It may be difficult for the males to maintain an unbiased posture towards females who post here and some may be hesitant to post a negative review for fear of reprisal.
