No wonder folks on here get busted. I witnessed a young lady today checking into a local hotel.

I was walking out of the bathroom in the lobby and I spot a man on the phone asking for a room number.

I took a seat in the lobby and could here him clearly.

Babe you don't have to be in the hobby to worry about thses things. Your wife could cheat without you knowing and you would have these risks. A woman could tell you she has only had sex once, and that guy could have had an std, etc... As long as you want sex my dear, you will have these worries. I'm sure some will take exception to what you have said, but I agree with you. I have been hobbying on and off for a very long time. In the early days, up through maybe the late 80's, I'd say that BBFS was the norm. Now when I get out my sole focus is BBBJ. In all the years I haven't so much as caught a cold from a provider, and virtually all of my experiences have been with SWs. A friend lived in LA in the 60's and mongered extensively in LA and Tijuana. Again, not so much as a cold. His brother focused exclusively on non-working girls and caught VD twice from the 'nice' girls.

Your point about there being at least a non-zero degree of risk even with a girlfriend or spouse is spot on. It used to be that you had to be tested before you could get a marriage license. Now, in the era of things a lot worse than some simple VD, there is no longer a requirement to be tested.

Like you, I am not saying that hobbying is risk-free, but let's all be careful not to work ourselves up into a paranoid frenzy. A little common sense goes a long way. Now, after a BBBJ, I wash with soap and water as soon as possible. Its most likely unnecessary, but being overly cautious never hurts.

All you say is technically true, but don't delude yourself into believing that prostitution that includes a high percentage of IV drug addicts does not significantly increase the risks. And, by the way, STDs are only one risk among many I've listed. That having been said, I'm not saying I'm out, just considering both sides of the argument.
