Taxi, actually having Kari live with you is not such a bad idea and I would encourage you to take her in for all the good reasons you mention. Since her recent troubles I was in brief contact with her Dad in Maine and although he is aware of his daughter's situation I don't think he's interested in taking care of her unless she decided to initiate it, and you know that isn't likely to happen. IMO the best thing for Kari would be to leave Florida for good and rejoin her family who are the most likely to have her best interest in mind, but perhaps there is a middle ground which, with your help, this girl can establish and at least get herself off the dope and out of more jail. You can get all the BBBCIMWS you can dream of, and she can get a semblance of a life back. Not a bad trade considering the circumstances.
