I have been to AMPs all over the country. Started about 1992 with frequenting them. I stopped mostly about 3 years ago except for occasionally needing something different. I went so often that the mamasan and owners knew me very well and became friends outside the business and had many a good time with the girls off the clock and get away trips with the girls.

I have never lost a dime at a AMP, well other than at a couple times that all I got was a massage with no relief. But some do and some don't give happy endings. I agree that it is VERY unusual to be robbed at an AMP. Upsell and maybe not doing what we think we heard or expected, yes!!

Most Asian people like their money and do what is necessary to get it. And to be sure, if you short an Asian lady money, I mean short / steal what ever, she will remember and let all know you did it. I have been told buy them that they will do whatever necessary to expose you. Most will refuse to see you again, FACT, not conjecture. Now, negotiating better prices politely is ok and many time expected, just as upselling. LOL.

Happy mongering and, hmm, I believe it is time to get a massage again. But I may go see a big breasted hot pretty caramel girl instead who I have seen before that is starting in the massage business with another dark hot lady.

If we are taking a poll, I have never been ripped off either. I don't go back as far as Methuselah, like yourself LOL, but never had a problem nonetheless. In my experience the last thing any AMP wants is to have a rep of ripping off clients. However, times change so I actually agree it best to only bring the dough you are willing to lose (or tip). This also helps with making sure the little head doesn't take over too much.

Curious why the poster made the accusation about it possibly being the Mamasan. That would be the last person I would suspect. But that is probably just me.

PS Just an idea for those that are concerned about getting stuff "removed" from their wallets without consent. Wallets are inexpensive, buy yourself another one just for mongering and only keep want you need in it. Stash your other one somewhere in your car BEFORE you go in.

I typically take my cash and leave my wallet in the console. Haven't been robbed yet but still don't take chances. I'm more leary of getting a credit card number stolen.

That's highly unusual for a Korean-run parlor to have someone steal your money but could be the changing of times. If I suspect something like that will happen, my pants / wallet accompany me to the TS. I have gotten sloppy at times so I have carried my wallet into a TS room. Steamed, soggy pants are better than an empty wallet, IMO. In the past 20+ years I have dealt with Korean massage parlors in the US, I recall only one time where my money was stolen. That was at the defunct spa on Spring Street in the ATL years ago. I caught the woman in the act, got retribution, then got slammed by the assholes here on USASG for doing so. I would do it again and invite those same assholes to get their hard-earned money taken and then kick them in the teeth for complaining. After all, providers are to be coveted as delicate flowers, are they not? Perhaps it's time such jackweeds should be publicly called out. Some still post as senior members.

Always enter a spa with a plan. Take only the money you are willing to spend / lose. Do not take identification, credit cards or anything with you that could be compromised.
