I have a 2 BR house which rents for $650 / month. I'm not sure what the utilities are costing the tenants but call the monthly expense $1000 including occasional maid service. That breaks down to $33 / day. A 3 Star Notel I use for my ATF costs $50 with plenty of privacy, an owner who looks the other way when pocketing the cash, and we walk out with the bed a mess. Lots of home locks now are key-pad or blue-tooth based and keep an audit trail. Looks better than a lock-box, and you can determine who the last SD was that didn't clean-up.

Perhaps take bitcoin rather than paypal. Less of a trail if the SD has kept his bitcoin wallet "clean".

Quality is a relative thing. It can be quantified. It can be measured. But in the bowl. Maybe not so much. It is more subjective. More about what you like and don't like. And those things can change. I bring this up. Since I am having a quality thing staring me right in the face.
