Agreed. I don't think it's so much an asian superstition as it is just generally an uncomfortable topic. Talking about being "busted" with a provider is openly addressing the fact that what they're doing is illegal. I'd feel uncomfortable with that as a provider.

Depends who you talk to, but in general people are superstitious. Whether Asian or not. It's like floor 13 for American or the number 4 in Chinese. Whether it is actually true or not, people avoid it if possible especially when doing business. In Cindy case, it sounds like she's a little more superstitious than other VNese. Perhaps, some unfortunate things happened to her in the past?
