Depends who you talk to, but in general people are superstitious. Whether Asian or not. It's like floor 13 for American or the number 4 in Chinese. Whether it is actually true or not, people avoid it if possible especially when doing business. In Cindy case, it sounds like she's a little more superstitious than other VNese. Perhaps, some unfortunate things happened to her in the past?

I do not believe talking about negative subject is bad luck. But, if I run a service business, but I would not want to discuss anything negative with a client.

Hey Fellow Mongers,

A lot of places are now advertising open late, till 2am or so. Anybody try that late. In my experience its always been close at 10, or maybe last customer at ten if a slow day.

I would think that would attract a lot of attention or violate the city code etc.

If anyone knows the management of one of these places, tell them to go the other way and open at 7am. I have had 5 guys pm me when I brought it up that we can use some relief on the way to work. I think if they tried it, and stuck with it for a month they would do well. For a marketing standpoint, tell them its product definition in a commodity marketplace.

Hmmm. In the past I have paid that cheap before ($60. $80 for FS) and the service was rendered "begrudgingly" and the girl was kinda pissed each time.
