Posts: 177This doesn't really make sense. Yes, repeat customers are valued, but your logic is twisted. I don't view the $40 for HE as truly a tip, but merely the market price for a service rendered. Since they can't advertise rates, I judge based on what I read here or elsewhere. $10-20 is below what most people are paying, and most of the posters here are repeat customers who pay $40, me included. Which would a provider prefer, a repeater paying $40 or a repeater paying $20? I am sure a provider would rather make $100 for a single HE from a rich guy than make $120 by giving you 6 HE's over the course of a month. By your logic, then we should do what the provider prefers, and overpay.

I am comfortable with $40, it's worth it to me. I can't afford to spend $40 every day, so I don't go every day. If you choose to pay $20, that's fine by me, but I think that a provider will view that as below expected, so I'm not comfortable doing it unless service was subpar. And I doubt she'll be glad that you're a repeat customer: she's probably thinking "here comes Mr Cheapo again. Well, I need the money" every time you walk in the door.
Underpaying is taking advantage of the legal status of these services at the expense of the provider who assumes a real risk by doing what she does. I don't enjoy feeling like I'm taking advantage of someone. Maybe others do.

Okay, I'm a believer as to the 40 tip for HE, half-hour or hour. Like I said, I was just checking with my fellow mongers.

But what about the gals who have good reviews and who provide sub-par service? Or the girls with no reviews yet at all? You know, if a waitress trips and spills a bowl of soup on me, I'll still tip her 15, because the spill was accidental. But if a masseuse is scowling at me as she hurriedly practically tears my manstalk off at the roots, I'm not going to tip her the same amount as the lady who, a few days ago, spent a good and leisurely 15 minutes on the tease. That's not only unfair to the more professional lady, it also reinforces to Ms. Rush that she can treat us guys with utter disdain. So if the performance is subpar because of attitude or indifference, I am definitely leaving 30 at most and less than that if the lady was taking out her bad day on me.

MongerExpert you are just plain and simply out of line. You are from a different planet. Fellow mongers pay no attention and use your own common sense and respect for the woman that make you happy.

I am getting a terrible vibe about that place, like worse than 33 Fayette. 21 is Fu Shen right? I drive by that place all the time, good location but terrible vibe. I went to fu shen when it was in front of quincy center t. It was the hardest, well 2nd hardest massage I have ever received, and people were getting there hair cut at the same time. I guess some leave happy, but takes a few trips. There is always a place that ruins the hobby. I'm not sure if they intentionally do that because they know we went there for the ending and they were definitely not going to allow that. The experience you are describing is similar (not exactly) to an experience at 36 quincy ave. In Braintree. Massage was okay, therapist good looking, but as I was leaving they stand there like a tip is needed. I didn't leave one. It's like you just gave me a draped massage and so so massage. Enjoy the house fee, peace.

I don't want to reveal too much info but I have left 12 before at Star, or 10. I left 10 at Zen, but didn't leave happy. 10 at awana. I left 10 at CR one time, left happy. Left 10 twice at 451 in andover, she complained but I don't care (place got shut down anyway) I once got a 4 handed at CR and left 10 for each. But again, I am a repeat customer. Repeat customers are more valuable than the guy who goes once and tips 50. They will make say 40/20, 60/40 off of that monger. I know I am in the minority, but if I go to the same place. 4 times that's 160 house plus varying tips of 10-20, they get between 200. 240 from me, instead of a one timer that gives them 80-100 and they don't see again. That's the way I look at it.

Or the lady who used to do massages at Linden, or off of Linden (remember her) her ad was like the art of massage. I don't know what happened with her since the Phoenix is gone. She was smart, good body, nice. Solid find.

School Street I gave $20 once as it was a straight forward massage. It was okay, but I had no $10 and nothing was being offered as it was a rush and I felt this lady doesn't even want to be here, but want to cash in on us. She just did it quick and suckat$$ massage. Then she kept asking tip tip tip. No man, no tip if your shiz sucks that bad. I told her I left her the tip by the table and rolled out as it was about the money. Service sucks so bad, it was like a waste of my time and I never went back to School Street!

Posts: 1701Sure, we would all like it free with everything on the menue, but be reasonable. If I understand you correctly, you are saying you sometimes leave 10 for a tip, and they are satisfied with that? If so please, please tell me where this place is, you could save alot of us some money.

My baseline is a "happy" hour, for that I tip 40. And I tip 30 for a similar 1/2 hr. Better service or better massage can raise tip 10-20. No, I don't adjust based on house fee.

New one, but there used to be one at 18 Samoset 2nd FL. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks like an AMP on that busy street. Plymouth isn't really as active as say Quincy, but it's a 917 number NY. Prices are cheaper than standard massage fee. Anyone left happy at C and J on Washington street in Hanover? 5 main, you can leave happy with a little coaxing. Babw.

Posts: 446It's giving the same tip regardless of service that f's things up for others. Think about. If you see someone multiple times and always gives large tip, and someone one timer gives small tip, who will the better service be to?

In my experience it is the unreasonably large tip for M or telling an escort she's underpricing herself, (not saying you do either) , that f's things up more.

How can you keep getting massages if you are tipping 40 everytime? That's like tipping another HH? Dude you are way off here. Lately there have been a lot of crappy reviews therefore at those specific places, tipping should decrease. For example at AAA she usually asks for it upfront, so 60 for a HH. The places I go they don't demand 40. If you tip 40 that's digging in to massage $$$$. If you are getting massaged by the owner, they are getting all the money anyways. It really depends on whether you have extra cash or not. They want a repeat customer not some guy, who goes once and tips 40. They aren't making any money off of that type of customer. Giving 20 is not being a cheapo. Giving 5/10 is a cheapo. But if that's all you have, that's all you have. 20 dollars is a 50 % tip for HH. 30 % tip for hour. There is no need for a debate like that on this forum.

I tried Tina, got a hh. The phone was off the hook, and it was 4 in the afternoon. I admit she was really cute, great bod, outfit. But she thought I was a cop. I tried calling again and got sortive the same indication it wasn't going to happen. Left unhappy, pretty big shocker. She didn't go near the joystick, and I had towel over my butt. I have left unhappy during the day at Zen. 1147 (208) and Double U. The indicators were up at all three spots, at Zen massage was performed in the room with a ceiling open. 1147 she was suspicious + towel over butt, Double U (didn't get the owner, but heard she's like 90 ). I haven't returned to these 3 as a result. But I know you can leave with a smile at all three. Solid massages at all three though. No tip for Tina (she understood ). At Zen I got locked in, for attempting to leave without tipping. Probably not a good idea to go back there.

Once again this is a subject we either agree or disagree with. 40 for the hour is the norm and. 2 for the 1/2. Seriously with the way the economy is that is a good tip. If she is really exceptional then that is different as with all girls. Just my .02. No sense on spoiling them. Remember 2 pop Susan well she was worth the extra.

Mick your two posts about railroad could have been posted by me too EXACTLY. Previous time was shorted on time and interrupted several times, Sophie said she would make up the time next time (who hasn't heard that one?) but she more than made up for it next time. She is one of my new favorites, the best thing about her is her disposition, she is always pleasant and happy. Just wish her English was a little better.
