Posts: 20I'm pretty sure that LE all across the country are allowed to lie about being a prostitute / john. Entrapment only applies if the police coerce the person into committing a crime if they normally would not. If a person is willing to buy / sell sex to other people then it's not entrapment.

Posts: 4927Yes, unfortunately in Hawaii a law enforcement officer is legally allowed to pose as a prostitute or prostitution customer and then lie when asked if he or she is a law enforcement officer. The rationale seems to be that otherwise it would be too difficult for them to catch prostitutes and prostitution customers.

Regarding why providers ask potential customers if they are LE, I think there are two reasons. First, some providers are under the misconception that an officer isn't legally allowed to lie about being an officer and / or that the officer lying will give the provider some sort of legal protection against a prostitution charge. Second, even if the provider knows that an officer is allowed to lie in that situation, she may ask the question to see the potential customer's physical and verbal reaction to the question.

The undercover officers will blatantly lie about not being LE in order to bust providers or mongers. Many male officers will even go further and allow some mutual groping or more, and only make the arrest after an agreement for payment of sexual services has been made. A exact amount does not have to be mentioned, just that it is possible.

About Law Enforcement, I have a curious question. I don't know if any of the members here will know the answer.
If an LE is questioned about being an LE, do they have to answer truthfully? I think not. But everytime (even in AMPs) they ask that question if you are a new customer.
If I were LE I wouldn't admit it until the provider did something illegal, right? And the same goes for the provider: if she is LE and she will no until the crime has been committed, right?

Posts: 4927For any downtown mongers who may be looking for Jolene / Cherry, the locations at which I've recently seen her working are (1) the mountain side of the two-block section of North Kukui Street that's between Nuuanu Avenue and River Street, and (2) Maunakea Street between North Kukui and Zippy's (now closed for renovation). Sometimes I've seen her working in the late afternoon, and other times she's been working at night.

Agree with your assessment of Jolene. I have been with her twice, and every time, the experience has been great. Overall, she's real excellent for a quickie; gave $ both times. Wished she would give BBBJ. She loves to fuck

She had an ad in BP using the name Cherry. There's a ph# too. Try using search tool. Had her couple months ago. Cool girl. Think damage was $ for car date cfs. Stay safe and happy mongering.

Posts: 4927Of course, the best strategy is to avoid that situation by carefully surveying the area for police before letting the provider into the vehicle. Years ago, however, in a moment of temporary insanity, LOL, I was foolish enough to pick up a downtown provider (whom I already knew) one night while a police officer was parked about half a block away. When I drove by the officer's vehicle with the provider in my vehicle, the officer immediately pursued and stopped me. The officer, who was a woman, questioned the provider and then ordered the provider to leave. The female officer then lectured me about how "those women" have diseases and can be dangerous. I felt like responding "If they're so bad, then why are some male police officers enjoying their services," but instead I just kept my mouth shut and didn't disagree with her, so she soon let me go with a verbal warning.

However, neither the consenting adult woman nor I admitted to anything incriminating, so I don't think the officer had the legal authority to then order the woman to leave.
The officer didn't arrest either the woman or me, because an arrest would have required a higher standard of "probable cause" that a crime was committed. The officer had no evidence that an exchange of money for sexual conduct had been offered or agreed upon or occurred. It's not illegal merely to have a woman who happens to be a prostitute riding as a passenger in your vehicle.
Ever since that incident years ago, I've never again picked up a provider in view of a police officer. However, I've occasionally told providers whom I already know to meet at another location.
In my personal experience, as long as all the traffic laws are obeyed and everything is kept quiet and low profile, overall the police are rather lenient about downtown mongers (except for the periodic police sting operations). The police could be doing much more to harass and intimidate downtown mongers if the police chose to do so. Over the years, except for that one time when I stupidly picked up a provider in view of a police officer, I've never had a police officer stop my vehicle because I had a provider inside.
