Yes the new Metro police force is more numerous and actively patrolling where the old Camden police force was less in numbers and active patrolling. On one Thursday I saw three different girls stopped in a 4 block stretch. I have seen a couple of the girls CJ had photo sessions with. Amanda was so wasted one day she could barely stand up. As I have stated before, the "K" is hurting right now, crackdowns, arrests, shortage of talent, whatever the reason it is not the same. Camden is red hot with talent. Cruised by on Wednesday before the 4th, for those who don't know, there is a street near the Domino's pizzeria where one of the sets are, so when you drive by on Broadway, pay careful attention to who is walking up and down this block, many girls go there to cop and it can be an excellent place to fish. Drove Broadway from Morgan up to the transportation center and then Federal / Westfield up to Pennsauken at 12:30 this evening. Totally dead. Only saw two girls the whole length of Broadway and no one out on Westfield. On a normal night you would find at least 10 to 15 girls working on that stretch. I guess this new Camden County police force is keeping a focus on the girls. Of course there were more druggies out selling than I could count, but I guess they are ok with the cops. Guess I'll head back to Philly for hunting.

Seriously, a little strength forward police work could get the job done with less cost to the taxpayer (that’s me). I saw a very impressive news report. They’ve tied it into their high tech camera system. Yes! They can scan and pickup your auto tags. All of this money spent to catch a few lower level criminals.

Actually these are not the RAID towers, though they may have some similar capabilities. The is made by FLIR Systems which specialized in IR cameras. It only elevates to 40 feet whereas the RAID towers go to 150 feet and are not manned. They can potentially see you in the dark via your heat signature. Supposedly, they can be fitted with different video and long range observation optics. It possible that from the Rand, if the street is clear, they could watch you at the triangle.

Sounds redundant for the most part. I can see its use at large venues along the waterfront where they don't have permanent camera installations.

I did see more patrol activity that afternoon with a LEO prowling along B'way. Then again at other times you can cruise for an hour or more and not see one. I'm sure a lot of that also has to do with timing too.

Its on a trailer with outriggers and elevates like a scissor jack. It was about 20 feet up so they can have a good view of the entire transportation center area. I don't know if something was going on earlier that they had it out for or if that is a normal thing since the changes. Anyone else seen this thing deployed?
