Posts: 682Sounds like a scam / coincedence
Did she by chance ask for a cc# to pay for the missed appt? If your SO didn't book a massage for you and forget to tell you or maybe book for herself from the home phone and they wrote down your name by accident from the caller I'D, I'm thinking identity theft or cc scam. That might just be in my head after renting Identity Thief the other night, funny movie BTW.
Just curious, what did you do?

Posts: 2651Yes they can, they can also do "roving bugs", and watch you with satellites and drones. Is it likely they would invest the money, and man power, into doing so for a misdemeanor bust? No.

I did Google her number and apparently it's an unlisted cell phone. Just in case someone might recognize it,
The number was 978-xxx-7759. I have no friends who know about my mongering, although a couple of friends know I enjoy massage. Further, I never ever schedule massage appointments from my home phone, even legitimate; it's always from my monger phone. So somehow our home phone got involved.
I'm beginning to think it was just a weird accident.

Leo has the technology to track you if they want to put the time and man hours into it. I have a hobby phone I buy the prepaid cards in cash, but even as careful as some of us try to be we can be discovered. All they would have to do is determine who my phone provider is get my records from the company and go to where I bought the card I am sure with all the cameras in the parking lots the stores and everything else it wouldn't be that hard for them to find what they are seeking. Then if its really serious they can track you by cell tower. It depends how much time and effort they want to put into tracking you. Sadly there are risks to the game.

Do you have a friend who is a monger himself? He might have used a blocked number to schedule it, but gave them your number and name when they asked him to un-block it.

Posts: 1244Ninja called & texted me before along with a aamp with the # 781-300-1126. I had to tell them to stop calling me because they were calling 2-3 times a day. This was a few years ago.

The other day I was reading in the Brockton Enterprise (not sure if it was Mondays or Sundays paper) on an article where the LE has the ability to search your cell and home phone records and emails simply by a request citing an investigation with the courts. I found the article somewhat unsettling for us mongers and the massage providers but for homeland security I saw the values. I was going to post the article but the paper got tossed.

I have never known a provider to call and say they were waiting for you to show up or even know you by full name unless it was given out. Most of the time providers deal with no shows and simply move on. It would unusual if one was to call and ***** someone out for missing their appt.

I had a strange experience yesterday and wonder if anyone has some insight as to what might have happened.
I got a call at home and the female caller asked for me by name. She identified herself and said she was waiting for me for my massage. I had never heard of her, and there was obviously some kind of confusion on both parts.
She knew my real name. But I never schedule massages on my home phone, only my monger phone. And very few people even know how much I'm into massage.
So I'm wondering if anyone might have a guess as to how someone might have scheduled a massage for me.

1. paste the link into your address bar
2. get rid of the space before Rar (at the end)
3. change Rar to lower case to rar
4. get rid of the dot (.) at the end of the string
5. Press enter- now it should work.

Posts: 2153Tom's Townie Tunes aka Tom Doyle? Anyone?
Listen, you don't have volume II, do you? I tried to look for it on the web and couldn't find anything. There is a CD called "Unplugged" but it's a compilation of two volumes and I already have half of it. U-tube posts only one song about Bourne Bridge and BTW, there is cute tune about Brad Marchand

for those who follow the current Bruins run.
If anyone can share files for Tom's Townie Tunes, Volume II or has a set of loose audio files for Tom Doyle's tunes (besides those in Vol. I) and care to share them with me, I'd seriously appreciate it. Based on what I heard in Vol I, I have a feeling that I would really enjoy hearing the likes of "These Boots Were Made in Brockton" and "You don't mess around with Lynn".
Who knows I may even pull a UTR out of my secret vault in return.
