Posts: 2153Well, thank you very much! I was wondering who those people were. Now I'm going to get the second volume too. 'These Boots Were Made in Brockton', huh? That's already sounds promising not to say topical.

Posts: 2153Really? I can still access the file download from my computer just by clicking on it. I wonder if it looks different from the account of the poster then from the other accounts. Anyone anything? It really is a hell of the compilation.

But. I do remember some local folk / blues grass comedians playing at the Falcon Ridge Music Festival couple of years ago out in the western part of the state and one fellow did a great parody on Massachusetts towns. I can't remember all the lyrics but started out sounding almost like Bye Bye American Pie but went something like: I was driving around, and entered into Beverly. Chelsie. Ashby and a few other towns which had similar style feminine sounding names. When he finished up on those he mentions something about taking a turn and ending up in Lawrence. Lee. Leicester. Everett and a few other more male masculine sounding names which his voice then exhibited some aversion to, soo he makes a you-turn, and sometime later he re-enters into. Beverly!

Posts: 2153Parody songs about towns and places in Massachussets.
Just wanted to share with fellow hobbyists some amateur recording I got from a friend couple of years ago. Some people probably from the North Shore wrote parodies to some pop tunes from the 70s & the 80s covering choice places, towns and regions of our great Commonwealth.

Granted some of you might've already heard it. This set is really dated and reference to the beer at strip joint costing "the whole" $6, and the song dedicated to an anchorwoman named "Natalie", and mentioning the likes of Pee-wee Herman, Raymond Bourque and Larry Bird would make significantly more sense to those over 40. Knowledge of what various towns and places around Boston are historically famous for and their reputation would definitely enrich your experience. At least some sense of humor definitely is a must.
If you're really sensitive or if you're wholesale subscriber to the Politically Correct-ways of expressing things, this really is not for you because it is bound to get you off your equilibrium and that is something that I prefer not to have on my conscience.

I met a friend who was in town for something at the convention center and grabbed a beer at the bar in the w. Estin hotel. While there I saw an cute, young, but obvious pro scoop up a client and head upstairs. Wondering if anybody knew of any other such spots in / around Boston. I tend to like the hotel workers as opposed to the street workers.

I travel a bit for work and do try to have a rendezvous on most trips but I find the amount of effort and hit and mostly miss outcomes to lack the ROI I get on home turf. I like the idea of road work but usually find that I spend most the time floundering like a fish out of water. Anybody have any tips for laying down ground work on foreign turf? I diddle around these forums, check CL & BP, but without a firm grasp of my surroundings I fear I could end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Too many unknowns and I've been a lot more risk averse since I made a rather large investment in a diamond ring.
Tips, experiences, tales; all very welcome.

Just throwing it out there, and while senior, I may not be senior enough at only 200+ posts to suggest this. But I think it would be fun to start doing a Boston get together every 3-4 months. I have an amazing UTR FBSM girl that I'd be happy to share with people I meet in person, and I'm sure others have similar gems.
I was thinking somewhere in Allston / Brighton as it's right off the Pike and generally easy to get to. Probably a week night? Senior members only, and even then at my discretion. At the least, a couple beers and good conversation. At the best, sharing of UTRs. I'm thinking no providers, just us for some beers. I'd be happy to set it up via group emails (assuming we all have monger emails, which we all damn well should).
If interested, please PM me.

Posts: 2153Mouth condoms, that's heavy. As for boobies, well, as as long as they're not 'in-use biodegradable' I'd do them.

Yup, that explains Michael's behavior. Wasn't his smoking nor drinking, it's A'hhh Shreak. Cathrine. She's venomous Sssss like a snake. Explains her character in Reds2. Look for the warning signs next time like Danger / Warning signs or fangs.
