There is plenty of reason for it, however I have worked with VERY reputable services that background check and drug screen the ladies they work with. Needless to say, I have NEVER had these issues that you listed. Not ever.

Dealing with fly by night indy's is a whole different story though. Never have them come to your place and don't even go to them with anything of value.

There has been a lot of discussion about google numbers. In reply to P Pumper. The google number does show up on your phone bill as a dialed call. I worked around this by establishing two google numbers. One for "business" and one for "hobby" I can call the business number from my cell this does not raise any attention or look out of the ordinary. "I am checking my messages & also established it as one of the numbers I can call without using minutes on the plan" once connected with the business google number I then go through the process to make a call from that number to my hobby google number go through the process to make a call and from there the providers number. On the phone bill I am calling my business number. On the providers end she sees the google hobby number because the call originated from the hobby number. I know this involves a few steps but this way I don't have to have a second phone and I don't leave a trail with the cell company. Hope this helps out with google number use.

I have recently started using Google Voice. This thing works awesome and does not require me to carry around two phones. I can block the incoming calls by putting it on do not disturb so it never bothers me when I don't want it to be on. Uses your minutes, but you can set it up so that when you call out it uses a different phone number. Even has voice mail and texting.

Fellow gents, I've been watching this forum for years, am about the hang up the hobby for good this year, so figured I'd chime in.

These are my rules when it comes to Backpage.

I've seen Molly. She's super cute, looks better than her pictures, is sweet and has an accommodating personality.

However she has too many bone-killer rules and holds herself back if she finds she's getting into it. You find yourself stuck in the middle because she clearly wants you to be finish but there are certain things she'll do or won't do that saps the mood if you're a discerning type. By the time you do finish, you're left with the feeling it could've gone so much better with this girl. I recommend for a quick visit, but if you're looking for something that feels special, go elsewhere.

Fellow gents, I've been watching this forum for years, am about the hang up the hobby for good this year, so figured I'd chime in.

These are my rules when it comes to Backpage.

1. All escorts lie, even the most trustworthy ones. So why would you tell them the whole truth? Don't give them your real name, exact age, occupation, or phone number. Some ask for verification, but I've found most who say that quickly sacrifices that standard and would rather have your money once you enter the door. Don't stutter when you answer their questions. Use a different cell phone and number than your own (a lot of these girls will text you hustling you for a visit, why would you want that on your phone now or in the future?). Remember, the same rules goes for the girls as to you; they can and sometimes will Google your phone number. If something weird when you TOFTT you don't want your personal phone number plastered all over some board. I never take my wallet, identification, real phone, or anything I don't want to lose or get stolen in the hotel with me. Ever. At most, leave it in your car. It'll be easier to report how your car and valuables got stolen from a parking lot rather than why you got jacked up in a hotel you weren't staying at.

2. I only deal with agencies or women who have no problem not taking my identification. You think they're trustworthy? Sure if a celebrity gets bad PR in a high-profile sting, people shrug it off, but most of us aren't in that stratosphere, so we have way more to lose if our name gets out there. If any of these long-standing agencies go down, I have no intention of being in their record book or phone records. While we're at it, no credit card, no Paypal. Straight cash.

3. When an escort ask how long it will take to get there, tell them ten minutes longer than it will actually take to an incall location. Unlike some others here, I only have one car. So I drive around the hotel, see if there's anything suspicious (LE or pimps) park elsewhere and walk. When I get to the hotel I walk right in just like I stayed there. I travel a lot so I've saved the keys for most major hotel chains. If it's a hotel with interior hallways, I walk in with my card visibly showing, act like I've been there before, and go straight to the elevator. Hell, when you've been in as many hotels as we have, that's actually true. Then I call the girl from inside the hotel. If it's a hotel with exterior hallways, I call from the side of the hotel; whichever room they indicate I make sure I approach from the other side of the hotel. The way I see it, the less eyes on me the better. In the end, they'd rather take your money and if you prove legit. Regardless I take little chance in people finding out who I am, right down to the license plate. Does that make me paranoid? Yup and proud of it.

4. If you're large like me, bring your own protection. Nothing worse being ready to go and not having anything that fits.

5. I always wear a hat and duck security cameras as much as possible.

6. If I see a pimp or "security" guarding the door or hotel entry I walk or drive right past them, leave, and ignore the ensuing phone calls. Not my phone number, they don't know who I really am, so I couldn't give two shits.

7. If you walk in and they're a) not who they say they are be) their pictures are old and you're not attracted to them, or see) you feel any sort of discomfort. Leave. Sometimes it's a different girl, they're cute, and it works out just fine but don't ever be afraid to walk for any reason, even if you've already given your donation. Leave. It's not worth it. Again, girls do this for their protection, so you should do the same. There is always a better option and yes, that includes your hand.

8. If there's a new girl, you TinEye and Google Image them and it's some porn star, don't be a dumbass and call. If you find they might be an escort with a different phone number in a different location, call the other number and see if it works. If it does, the one here in Raleigh ain't her. If they're the same person, but change their phone number every week, that's a major red flag. If she seems like a crackhead (in the BP ad or when you walk in the room) well you get what you deserve if you walk through that door. As someone else indicated, let their ads play for a few weeks with the same number to prove they're legit and at least not LE. You're not Columbus and discovering new ground, so don't ever think you're in some sort of race to be the first.

9. Don't ignore red flags. My favorite one was about two months ago while traveling through another city. We were going over ground rules and she asked (I don't remember her exact phrasing) if I intended to get with her without protection. It wasn't an accusation or statement, it was as if she was willing to let me have my way with her, which means she's done it before. I walked for two reasons: a) I'm not risking my life who's self-respect is that low and be) you're setting yourself up if she claims she was forced. Fuck that.

10. In general, you get what you pay for. There are some diamonds in the rough, but they're rare. There are some who are not worth the price, and they eventually either drop their donation or move to another city. If you find a good one, keep her around even as you test it out with other women.

11. It's a tough industry. In general if you respect the girls, the karma does come back to you and for the most part, you'll get what you want. If a woman doesn't treat you right, don't become a patron ever again, there's too many out there to deal with unprofessionalism (rushing, too much double-booking, late, answering phone calls, too many boner-killing rules).

12. Every one of these girls, no matter how long they've been doing this, no matter if they get turned on by what they do, reaches a tipping point. Maybe they're just tired of putting out and get desensitized, both physically and emotionally, and become distant. Maybe they get hooked on drugs. Maybe they get pregnant. Usually the really good ones take "breaks". The best ones, who ironically are also often the smartest ones, retire because they knew to stack their money. Always a loss, but you have to respect them. It's like the pawn finally got to the end of the board and became queen. Try to get in early (again you'll never be the first) in their career.

13. This is to my fellow black hobbiests. I'm sure you've all seen the ads keeping us away, no need to rehash it. Don't get pissed or upset, it's not worth the aggravation; I refuse to let that sort of stereotype bring me down especially in an industry like this. It's like when you go to a restaurant and you see servers play rock, paper, scissors because they think you won't pay them a good tip. Even the ones who say they don't see black guys in their ads "but are willing to see" me, get dropped. The way I see it, they're just losing my business and if they're struggling for money, then that's their own fault. The smart ones who want to keep the dangerous element away don't care what race you are; they know its other contributing factors when it comes to their safety. No matter who you are, as long as you respect the women and treat them right, the color they really appreciate is green.

I also agree that dependant on the location I will not drive my 'professional car' (expensive show piece more or less) due to the example that you stated, If I am seeing a provider at a upper class hotel no issues but otherwise I drive the 'weekend runner' which is nothing special or sticks out and a few years old and I wear the average button up shirt and jeans. Your mates advice about the 'hobby clothes' is also valid and is something I do, I work in a 'white collar' world, so I do need to stay fresh and sharp. So replacement garments are needed, not a full set but I do keep fresh shirt, tie and jacket available due to my line of work and those accidental coffee spills. Smoke doesn't so much bother me, but the perfume and heavy makeup does. I make it a point to ask providers to either not use heavy perfumes or makeup. Other precautions I take, I always have my own covers (no excuses, and it's a brand I prefer) I always plan for what provider I will see, I do my home work and carrying only her requirement (extra sometimes just in case for a tip, depending on what reviews stated) and covers and I never take my wallet or keys inside with me (love the keyless entries vehicles) I remove any rings or watches and have nothing of great value with me. M willing to lose if it were to go bad. Vacuum the car out afterwards or do a VERY thorough search. Wouldn't you hate to have a drug dog find something that someone else left behind. Hobby wallet with the minimum identification and no credit cards. Always a good alibi.

Maybe I have just been lucky the past dozen years, or I have a sixth sense, or better yet I learned a lot from my hunting back in the dark ages before BP and smart phones. But I have been fortunate to not get busted or robbed. Not that the info on this site isn't helpful, its very good stuff, but variety is the spice of life, right? Even when I am not planning on setting anything up. Basically just to see whos in town and keep up with the scene. If I spot a new girl I will check her ads for a few days or weeks just to make sure its not leo or a scam. That strategy saved me some serious trouble couple months ago in the wf sting. Guys, how many of you find the need to use a hobby phone?

I know it sure works wonders for me.

I have noticed something else necessary, a hobby car!

Some time back I had went to a location and was plenty sure that my car was way out of place, I left and didn't partake in the appointment. When the girl asked why I left, I just said I thought I saw offending people outside and didn't feel comfortable.

To put something in perspective, if you are a proud owner of a Mercedes CL 600 (which I am not, just an example) Do you feel like you will draw attention to yourself rolling up at Budget Hotel? Yes, of course you will, it just doesn't work. So when I have one of those days when I know I am going to make a visit, I drive my "other" car to fit in to wherever I may go. Now if I was pulling into one of the higher end hotels in the area. It's no problem, but I know which providers do and which probably will not, so I plan accordingly.

A hobby friend says he keeps "hobby clothes" in his car. So his business clothes will not wreak of stale hotel room, smoke or perfume.

What are some hobby precautions that you use?

Let me echo with a warning. I got ROB from this number and the pic looks exactly like the girl I remember from about 18 months ago.
