Those LE idiots,

You would think LE would try to help gals who get busted turn over a new leaf and get themselves back on the right track after getting caught for prostitution.

But no instead they would rather bust those gals and tag on extra charges to increase there bonds in an effort to maybe keep them behind bars longer.

They are not solving the problem in fact their just adding to it. More then likely the gals that get the extra charge of Illegal use of a two-way communications device, are the one's who refused to cooperate with LE or may have given LE the potty mouth during their arrest because she may have been pissed off for getting busted in the first place.

That charge when applied to prostitution is almost always in reference to an because a gals laptop / computer or her cell phone was confiscated / seized as evidence at the time of her arrest.

Ever wonder why after a gal gets busted by LE for prostitution then bonds out of jail an comes back to the hobby with a new cell phone number?

Well, in almost every case LEO will take a gals cell phone and computer for sure an keep it as evidence on her prostitution charge, and her laptop or computer is what their really after to prove their case in court because her laptop or computer has all her ad posting info stored in it more then likely if she's busted with it at the time of the arrest.

I'm not 100% sure but I think if LE was tying to be really nasty with a monger they could charge a monger with Illegal use of a two-way communications device if the monger was caught with a (LE decoy) prostitutes phone number in his phone at the time of his arrest if their decoy was communicating back and forth will him via cell phone during a sting operation. Again don't hold me to this because I'm not 100% sure about it, but that could be considered using a two communication device in the commission of a crime I would think. As well as using a computer / laptop to aid in placing illegal prostitution ads over the Internet is why a prostitute will get this charge if caught with her laptop at the time of her arrest for prostitution.

If anyone has any thoughts on this feel free to chime in because at the end of the day it's just another stupid ass law on the books IMHO.

Sitting hear scratching my head wondering how a Senior Member could have that many damn post and still be that clueless when it comes to this hobby because you should already know that's a major NO NO.

I'm fresh out of matches and don't have a lighter so I won't try to FLAME to badly on the question. Infractions are pass out on these types of subjects faster then running a red light at an intersection getting caught by the red light camera, therefore I'll say you should make better choices in this life because stupid choices could end it.

I have lived in the Orlando area for 12 years, and have been underwhelmed by the competence, professionalism, and integrity of law enforcement in the area. Especially OCSD. Well, they are at it again. With the recent spat of prostitution arrests several days ago, they added a new charge to several of the girls. One that I had never seen applied before.

Illegal use of a two-way communications device. FS 934. 215.

I looked up and read the statute. It is all of two sentences long, and the typical fifth grade student would not have a problem understanding and applying the statute. It only applies in the commission of a felony. Prostitution charges are normally misdemeanor level, and the cases I looked at were misdemeanor prostitution charges with the added felony charge. So I ask myself, is a grade school education even required by Orange County Sherriff Department?

I am adding this to my growing list of inept, corrupt and illegal practices by local LE.

How does one mitigate their risks after testing positive for HIV?

I'm assuming he means have her take the test before you do the deed. Regardless my suggestion to you is think it through and then don't do it

That's some risky behavior and normally I would say no way, but now that they have the quick home HIV tests maybe you could mitigate some of your risk.

Risky is a understatement.

The point I was making is LE attempting to tack on excessive charges that do not apply. The cases that I looked at were misdemeanors. So the other charge of two-way communication does not apply, as that only applies in the case of a felony.

A streetwalker with a police scanner? Not very likely. They have enough problems keeping a cell phone operating.

I believe it is just LE attempting to hang a felony rap on a misdemeanor offense.

If you're caught multiple times for prostitution, doesn't it turn into a felony? Habitual offender? Which would warrant the illegal 2-way communication charge?
