Most are only good as Walk-In rates, but if you print a bunch up for the area, then call the day of, they'll tell you if they have rooms available for that rate.

I use these a lot when I go on MC trips because I never know where I'll be stopping. Hasn't failed me yet.

What do you consider "cheap"? Most of the hotels on the south shore are $80 to $120 a night. You can usually get something through priceline for around $60 to $70.

Route 1 in the Foxborough area has quite a few for around $50 (as long as there's nothing going on at the stadium) , but they're crack motels, and not really south shore either.
