I find myself wanting to use $20 as a general rule of thumb as well. I will tip $40 for a HE with some enthusiasm.

My experience as a whole is this based on services: Usually $40 at Panacia, $20 to $40 at EW, $20 at Pacific. I have only been asked for a specific amount at EW. Other times it was left up to me after the session.

That's one of the things that always bothered me most about EW (and honestly, BP girls too). Nothing kills the momentum of a nice massage like 5 minutes of negotiating a tip. And I always feel like I'm telling them "No, you aren't good enough for $40. Only $20," which usually leads to a terrible HE.

I usually just hit Panacea or Pacific because of the fact that the tip can be left at the desk. No negotiation. Just a nice, relaxing session.

I saw Heidi there last night, and I asked for a deep massage, and boy did she deliver!
