So I'm going to check-in, give you my card for incidentals and give him / her the key. Most will do it, I had one Hilton that would not do it. This is double effective if you are using Hotwire, because if they slide the bill under the door, it will have the fake name and some general address associated with Hotwire. Many hotels lately have not been sliding the Hotwire bills under the door if you don't have room service.

The most full-proof way, especially with someone you have seen on the regular, is to give her the money and have her get the room. The good ones will offer this upfront.
