It's got something to do with the order the posts are displayed (ascending vs. Descending) and a quirk that I believe Jackson is aware of. If you display the most recent posts first, (which I can't seem to figure out how to undo) clicking a link to a previous post brings you to the exact opposite position in the order of posts. In other words, clicking a link to the most recent post brings you to the first post. Clicking on the third most recent, brings you to the third oldest, etc.

The post numbers don't seem to be concretely tied to an individual post, rather to a virtual position in the post history.

Also if I click on your name, send a pm and then go back I end up in the same forum section but not where I had been, normally dozens of pages back. One day the photo gallery shows red x's, next day the pics are there. Sometimes it takes 2-3 days for the photos to appear. [? ]

I've learned to live with it but if there's a quick fix I'd love to hear it. Thanks again.
