If you find a place like that, I will start believing in Santa Claus and most likely the Tooth Fairy, too. Seriously, your requests are of course quite reasonable, buy lately spa service has generally deteriorated to the point where I consider myself lucky if the phone and doorbell do not interrupt my session more than once.

This place on 1A in Wrentham is pretty convenient for me, as it's along my drive home, so I had to try it.
One-woman shop, clean and quiet. Anna is a very agreeable and professional massuese, forties, girl next door type (if you're from Guangdong) who varies her touch to order, and will engage in some of what I'd call "almost teasing" of the inner thighs, without any actual junk juggling.
Verdict: After 3 identical visits, where she has consistently repeated,"I never do. Health only," I conclude that it's probably 100% legit, as she says. Outside possibility of DIY, which doesn't interest me. For the record, she has not offered even that, despite the fact that I'm a known repeat customer who tips, and who is always polite and complimentary throughout.
YMMV, of course, but this one goes onto my list of places to perhaps spend an occasional relaxing hour with a very good natured nice lady. Which Anna most certainly is. And nothing more. Just as well, really. Directly across the street, on the corner of the town green, is a "reserved for police only" parking spot, and the town offices are 150 yards to the right. It wouldn't last a month if anything more was on the menu.

As all know the winter months are here and I'd like to give a review of what some New England Spa's are great at while others fail miserably at.
#1 I want warmth during a cold day, some happy medium whereby the customer feels warm YET the therapist is not sweating as she does her job.
#2 I want a Spa that warms the oils / lotions used! A little effort goes along way here and a quick 10 sec. In a microwave sure makes the massage great on a cold winter day.
#3 I want a place that gives the therapists a hand warmer in preparation of a massage (I don't care what method they use IE: hotpacks in the break room, a hand blower / drying in bath, or if all else fails bring a damb hair dryer into work and let the girls use that on their hands prior to giving the massage!)
#4 Its especially nice to see some hot apple cider, coffee, tea's and a krups machine ready at all times for my arrival.
I'm not sure if anyone here can give some places that have AND do ALL of the above but it would show the care and quality of a spa if they do ALL these minimal things for us during the winter.
The only one I've found thus far that does them ALL is Celistina Spa in Brockton but PM me if you know others that take this kind of care?

Tried this place, it's just about like he describes, I got a half ass ending, I'm not sure how long it will last due to the location.
There are better out there.

Let's see if I can get the location and the presentation of this report all in one place. I'm struggling with the fairly easy forum tools. Not trying to build my rep by making triple posts!
Did a recon recently to the Mansfield place that advertises foot massage on CL. Did not expect much, but it turned out well.
Clean room, nice solid table, unscented oil. (Q: Why don't they ALL use unscented oil?)
Nice lady, one of two on staff. Never saw the other. At mid 30s to early 40s, she's a little younger, by decades, than is the norm for that town. Reasonably pretty, too, though her good attitude and job skills probably served to make her seem better looking than she really was. English limited to "shank you" and "shee you shoon" rudiments, but it only took me a few simple words, accompanied by gestures, to dial-in a nice medium soft session that I enjoyed right to the end.
I wanted to remember her name, with an eye towards the future. She tried several times to tell me, but all I could make out was that it was one of those two-part Chinese ones like (Something).Li. If I go again, I plan to call the front desk to ask who's working. Hopefully the other name will be different enough that I can get this same lady again, unless I feel like rolling the dice with the other provider.
While the session itself was gratifying, there are a few things about this place that are less than ideal.
Cover is 70. It's also a Papasan place, if that bothers you. What might bother you more is that the building's in a spot where two one-way lanes of the main drag through downtown merge; it sits on the corner, right in the vee, with 2 entrances, one on either side. If you're local, or if for whatever reason you're not comfortable with being seen entering or leaving, note that the door on the right is a bit more exposed, and visible from a strip mall parking lot. The door on the left is only visible from the roof deck of an upstairs apartment. This afternoon 3 dudes happened to be enjoying the last of the warm weather, so I chose the right side entrance, as nobody in the lot would know me anyway. Once the cold weather locks in, the roof deck won't be occupied, and because the left has no homes or stores, it will be the better choice.
On-street parking is usually abundant except for Friday or Saturday bar nights. Standard tip.

I was recently in the area and decided to stop by at this AMP on rt20. The place is not very discreet and seems like a house used for running a business, right next to a busy street. Parking area is very visible from the surrounding houses.
I was met by a lady, late 30's / early 40's, by looks and was asked to wait. She went back to service her client. 10 minutes later, he left and seemed pretty satisfied which raised my hopes. I was led to one to rooms and asked to get ready. It was really cold and I asked to turn on the heating. 'It already on' was the reply I got. The massage began and it was decent. On the flip, more massage and thats how the hour ended. She then started asking for the tip, which annoyed me. On the way out, I saw another lady. She was around the same age and scaled similarly on looks.
Overall, spent $.6 + $.2. Felt that it would be a more YMMV location. However, given the talent that I saw and the location, I wouldn't be going back unless I someone had some better experience.
Cheers,
RM

Happy Veterans Day Fellow Mongers!
United We Stand. Semper Fidelis.
Thought I would treat myself today and try a new gal who recently arrived in the US. Went to Middlesex Ave in Wilmington and she is a cutie. Great looks. Long silky, blondish hair (colored, of course) and be's. See's with nice nips and dressed in a sexy tight outfit. Very friendly and helped me undress like the Ken doll.)
Started w / lfk, dfk then layed on table and she tended to matters. I started on back for a double-header session. And she just did an AMAZING job.
Don't ruin this one as her english wasn't great but we got by accordingly with the international language.
Utc allowed T&B.
Full disclosure: her deep massage skills were not great, needs work but her soft touch was effective. Will improve with OJT (on-the-job training)
Looks: 7.
Attitude: 9.
Massage skills: 5.
Soft touch skills: 7
6 + 4 but deserved more.
Will def repeat. Be good to her boyz.

I see that I've been assessed a Forum infraction for the headache-inducing post I made yesterday, which I'll add back in here so it can actually be read. Strange because I pasted the text in from the same document as I'm using now, which used wrapped text. It looks ok this time. Anyway, apologies for the hard-stop abortion below. I invite the administrator to remove that post in the interest of my not being hated too early in my career. Anyway.

Posts: 460Hunnewell, the place above the tailor shop in Burlington, Wellesley & Revere were all owned by the same couple that were recently busted. No surprise they did. They should have slowed things down a bit.

EDITOR's NOTE: This report was published with unnecessary HARD RETURNS at the end of every line of text, resulting in the text being incorrectly broken up into separate, incomplete sentences.
There is NO NEED for any report to be written with HARD RETURNS at the end of every line of text.
Solution #1: If you are adding these hard returns at the end of every line by using the ENTER key, then please stop doing that. Instead, simply allow the text to "wrap" automatically at the end of each line when typing. The ENTER key is only needed to separate individual paragraphs.
Solution #2: However, if the unnecessary hard returns were the result of you having pasted the text into the forum from another source (such as a news story), then your option is to either edit out the unnecessary hard returns or don't paste the text.
Please do not post reports with unnecessary hard returns in the Forum. Thanks!

Posts: 178I would not tip at all for diy. Not even a close decision since I could have saved myself 50-80 from get go by simply staying home. LOL

Posts: 460I agree in that a lot of places are going the DIY route. The girls figure they can't get in trouble that way especially with the recent crackdowns.
And they figure they will still get a little more money in the tip.

It's still open and still looks the same on the inside. Rooms that aren't really rooms. Linda was working. Fairly attractive. Got an emergency phone call just as I got there so couldn't stay.
