To people from the DMV area, the Eastern Shore is a common and recognized term used to refer to the area along the Eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay in MD & VA. Easton, Cambridge, St Michels, etc etc.

Does anyone remember a WSW that use to stand on Washington blvd across from the elementary school. She seemed to be there every night and day for what seemed like a year.
