So, attempted to meet up with Nicole today, twice. Sent her a text at 1:45 to meet at Wilkens & Monroe at 3. She was a no-show so I went to the the Home Depot on Ordinance road to check out prices on power-washer rentals (I need to clean my garage). Her reply to the previous poster was not unreasonable; Ms Exsw was simply providing her own, equally valid perspective. It's true that many, if not most, SWs are on the streets because of a drug addiction, but there are other reasons, as well. We don't know their personal stories, and one of the reasons mongers hire them for short-term companionship is because the monger does not want to know their history.

At one point, many of these SWs were probably once "average civi" girls. Whatever they are in your eyes now, they are almost certainly down on their luck, and they are out there because they often do not perceive any other option for surviving in a hard world. On the unforgiving mean streets, one's first instinct is to survive. THAT'S why she accepted the "standard rate" of. 2 or. 4 from you or many other mongers. It wasn't because she knew that's all she was worth; it was more likely because she concluded that it was all she was able to get in the current market. It's much the same with any other form of employment. For instance, when you are looking for a new job, you might have a desired salary. But, if current market conditions are unfavorable, you'll likely settle for a lower salary. It's the way of the free market system. On the other hand, if your skills are in greater demand, then you will be able to obtain a higher salary. And, if someone if desparate for your skills, they might not even bother negotiating but simply offer a higher-than-market salary in order to obtain your services immediately.

Now, what we have on this forum is a means for sharing information about the available talent in the "street marketplace." We can post on whom to avoid, whether because of poor service or unreliable behavior. Likewise, we can share information on whom to seek out because of superior service. (Think baseball for a moment: There is a reason why clubs compete with and try to outbid each other for the services of players like Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez, yet will not even make an opening offer on other players.) So, is it unreasonable for a SW who provides superior service to receive MORE than the "standard rate"? I think not, and I've never had a problem with that approach. Does that mean that all SWs should receive the rate that the "superstars" receive? Of course not. In fact, if word were to get around among SWs that mongers were willing to pay better to those whose service was better, you'd probably see some corresponding increase in quality. After all, who really wants to be known as the low-rank player? We can still weed out the under-performers and the outright ROBs, without doing wrong to the solidly reliable girls.

Ours is a hobby of negotiation, a process of give-and-take, and if someone has a reputation (like A-Rod) for superior service, then it's not unreasonable for the compensation to reflect that. But, just because a SW accepts your offer of. 2, don't for a minute think that she does it because it's all she feels she is worth. She accepts it because she first has to survive, and then because she may know what prices the current market will and will not support. Regardless, if we try to see things from a broader perspective, instead of taking a narrow parochial view, we're likely to have a better overall experience because we'll all be negotiating with better insight.

As noted in my previous post, I was wondering what happened to her hair, but I didn't want to ask, for fear of hurting her feelings.

I just found out today that she had 3 warrants for her arrest and was stopped by Anne Arundel County after dating and not passing the knowledge test of who is this guy and why you are riding with him. Then they asked for her I'd and it was ball game over. She called me from inside wanting me to help her out with her bail of 1500 and the answer was no way. She started to cry and I hung up. Then I find out from a friend of hers that she had to additional warrants for her arrest and she will be spending a hell of a lot of time in. Sorry for her but from what I gather she was a very accomplished thief if she could see a way to get it without you knowing. It finally caught up to her and happy she did not steal from me.

This is her the other day. Went to baltimore and she wanted to come with so I granted her wish. She enjoyed the hotel and I enjoyed the pleasure of having her. Short hair because she messed up her hair doing something with a girlfriend and burnt it almost all off from being a beautiful dark brown and changed it to red for some unknown reason. Took a ride over to CHARM CITY this morning to check out the strolls. Turned on Brunswick with the intent of turning onto Millington and then over to Catherine. LORI's stroll, but no one was out. I then hit the side streets and watched a stoned SW hobble across the intersection at Monroe. She barely made it across. Ran into an ancient SW at the intersection of WILKENS and Monroe. That gal had more miles on her than a Barwood cab. LOL Saw a couple more nasty SWs walking down Wilkens. Not much of a selection out this morning so I drove over to JIMMY's in Fells Point for breakfast with my girls. It was good seeing CHARLENE again, while KIM waited on me. Afterwards drove around the WILKEN's circle and no girls were out. First, please recognize the the purpose of monitoring reports it not to aggravate you but to keep the forum free of SPAM. It is specifically because I put in the work to monitor posts that The Forum is relatively SPAM free. I don't like all the work, but I know from experience that there's no other option.

Second, if I lowered the Senior Member requirements to 6 months OR 25 reports, I would have spammers specifically posting 25 posts within a few days to get the senior member status, and then start spamming the forum. That's what did happen ALL THE TIME a couple of years ago when I once had the either / or criteria.

Third, the Forum is a compendium of reports, not a chat room. I care about the reports, not the chit-chat. Therefor, I don't think it's really that big of a deal if, for example, a report to is visible at 6pm or not until a few hours later?

Fourth, I disagree with your implication in your question "Anyone know why it takes so long for post to appear. I moderate and approve all new reports at least twice per day, and sometimes several times a day. The average delay is less than 6 hours. I know because I watch the statistics every day. The only time the delay is more than 12 hours is on those few days when I have some issue that prevents me from getting to a computer, such as a day when I may be flying between continents. Even then, I usually find an internet cafe at the airports so I can approve the pending reports before I get on my flight and again when I land.

Personally, I think you should be commending me for doing such a great job of managing the forum instead of telling me that I don't do it fast enough.
