Posts: 155This one time at band camp.
Well, it wasn't at band camp, but I was in the AMP where 7 is now when it got raided. It was a few years ago, but I wasn't in the room. I was actually waiting on the couch for a room watching the tv and I noticed four cops in full bullet proof vests walking up the walkway on the security monitor. I totally thought I was fucked, but they did their thing with the girls and just asked me for my I'd, wrote some info down, recommended I don't come back, and let. Me on. My way. I showed them though. Went back the next day since I didn't get to spend my $$ the night before. Plus I figured there's no way they'd raid the place 2 days in a row. There were less girls but some of the one's there remembered me from the day before and were so surprised I came back the next day. They kept asking,"Aren't you scared?" I just told them no way they coming here 2 nights in a row. Did scare the shit out of me as it was happening though.

Posts: 439First of all reread your own post. I can read very well. You said and I quote EXACTLY,"But I talked with someone from the places you mentioned, and they said nothing happened." Your sentence using places and they, indicates you talked several people at several places. If that is not what you meant then should be more precise in your own english and said,"I talked to one of the girls at one of the places" or "several girls at one of the places."

As for people not reporting that there was bust at those AMPs, some people realize that if they were there and they mentioned they were there, police take down your I'd, if they can trace your post and match you up with your avatar name, you might risk getting caught if they so want to go after you to make you poster child / example. Especially if you post your experiences. Doubt it by why rish it. As I said, how do you know the girl telling you the truth if they got busted, sometimes they don't want to scare the customer away, which is what these checks and raids are for.

Posts: 402I mentioned this in a post at least a year ago. I used to go to Imperial / Ecstacy way back when. Twice over a period of three months, I was there when LE arrived, but they weren't with ski masks on but rather full uniformed officers, approximately four of them that actually entered the parlor. There was a huge commotion outside and suddenly came the knock on the door telling the provider and I to get dressed and open the door. When the provider opened the door, the officer was very respectable and asked the girl to step to the living room. Then he looked at me and told me to stay in the room. After about 10 minutes, the officer came back to the room, where I was obviously shitting in my underwear, and was pretty cool telling me that they were looking for a particular guy that was a BF of one of the working girls. Said the guy was seen in the area and was possibly armed. Asked for my driver's license, but told him it was in my car outside. I dressed, he walked me to my car, took down some info and let me go. In another instance, the visit was more low keyed. This time two offices rang the bell, entered and again knocked on the doors wanting to talk to all of the girls. This time the officer allowed me to go to the living room to observe. Basically, they were there to let the girls know that they could call 911 if they felt and emergency situation had arisen. Told the girls and MS, that they had the right to be protected from harm just like any other citizen. This time no I'd was asked of me.

It hasn't happened to me, but I've heard the cops will ask for your I'd and check if you have any outstanding warrants.

Posts: 677Ya, I know everyone gets busted. I was merely stating the last time they busted Pink, they didn't bust any of the neighboring AMPs at the same time!

Sad about Aubrey. I was just about to repeat. Maybe she'll find her own in-call locale? Also, regarding Aki, I wouldn't expect her to up and leave, but she did tell me the same thing when I visited. Well, I asked about her leaving, which she confirmed. Doesn't mean she's flying to the Eastern Seaboard.

Again, LE is stepping things up, as I understand it, because of pressure from activist groups. If you look at the legislative track record for the past two years, you'll see bills being put forward that specifically target "demand," the idea being that mongers perpetuate "slavery" and sex-trafficking (Kathy Xian's terms) by providing the resources for its continuance. If we all stop mongering, the commercial sex industry will go out of business. It's all about money, after all.
I honestly think that the increased LE busts, if they're happening, are along those lines. Police are doing "knock and talks," where they question girls (and mongers, if they're around) to obtain info for future raids. We'll see if any arrests or headlines are made, but the activists pressuring LE to chomp down on AMPs aren't going anywhere. It doesn't matter who is in office. And don't forget that some of these places are owned by pretty influential folks, like Hawaii Reporters multiple stories about Rick Fried's management of 350 Ward. Media reports like that can put a big target on your back.
Finally, as for why some places and not others, there is always the argument that certain places forgot to pay their taxes to LE! Seriously, though, I think it is a matter of "actionable" tips. Who knows what LE is being told by Xian or community members? All it takes is one loudmouth be* to raise suspicion.

Posts: 402I believe LE will base their visits depending upon probable cause. In the example of Pink versus GQ, there could have been probable cause that a provider working there may have been possibly illegal or even suspected of drug trafficking, whereas GQ had properly documented workers and no hint of any other illegal activity, or when the undercover officer actually went there as a customer, the provider tried to solicit services that could have incriminated herself, whereas the GQ girls were more savy and didn't fall into the LE trap. I have also heard that LE would probably investigate complaints made by some disgruntled customers or perhaps even special interest groups such as PASS, trying to disrupt business at any given AMP.

Everybody gets a turn sooner or later, we don't always learn when a place gets popped, its not always in the news plus most MS and providers don't like to tell the customer they had trouble, he gets scared never comes back and it's hurts the business.

Posts: 677Why bust Pink and not Rappongi or GQ? Why not bust VIP the most active and well known AMP in the state? Who knows? Maybe the owners know somebody? Same could be said for why but one person for going over the speed limit and not the 2 guys next to him going the same speed?
