Decided to make a couple of passes early in the morning. Around 1:30 there were no appreciable leo out and as mentioned in a previous post, it was like old times. The drug addicts lives. And, sooner or later their will die. They live and just like the rest of us they will die; however, their lives are free from the tedious details. They don't work, they don't worry about or pay taxes, they don't worry about putting their kids through college, rent isn't a problem, and nor is food, health care, warm clothing and etc, etc, and etc. They've exchanged all of what might be considered normal needs for their need for drugs. We, the so called normal people, give up the pleasures offered by the illusions of drugs, for a life filled with drudgery and endless obligations. Who's to say which is the better life – we all ended up as dust?

Kicking their habit and reentering the world outside of the drug life after 10, 15 or more years has got to be a horrific task. For a 10 year drug users, coming back to our world must be something like one of us suddenly trying to live in their world.

What we see as sad, might be sweet relief. Personally, I hate the thought of her suffering. In the end, it is her choice.

Another problem with getting off the drugs is even if you manage for a while and go back to your old friends and habitats, the odds are pretty good you'll relapse. Unless you have a good place to go after the change you're probably doomed to repeat.

There's no doubt that Dyan is good people, I've known her longer than she's been on the streets of Camden, in fact first time we spotted each other out there it was extremely awkward for the both of us. It's just sad to see how far down she's gone, from a beautiful young lady with family and friends to what is now her life. It breaks my heart to see her decline, she has tried to get clean a few times and many have tried to help her but to no avail, she just can't beat it. She is truely a goodhearted and beautiful person that has fallen on hard times due to situations that have risen in her life. Here is the problem with Dyan, she is definitly good people I have no doubt about that, but she refuses to get the hell out of camden and she will die there. I have known her for a long time as well although I have been out of the game for a while now. She has family, people that have helped her and, was at one point clear of all charges and in methadone clinic w / everything paid. She will not stay out of Camden and fucks it up all the time. She is beyond help I think. If you saw pictures of her 10 years ago you would see how far gone she is at this point. Its a shame to say, but a fact of life. I hope she is treated well by you guys because I know she is not making what she once did out there and can stand around all day for a couple dates (She told me this). I am in no way involved with her now or know of her well being since a year ago but we had some good times for years and she told me a lot about herself. In the end a person is a person and regardless of the circumstance or surrounding should always be treated as you would be treated. Some girls are thieves others are just supporting a habit their only way at this point. Dyan is one of the later and the shame is the older she gets the less appeal she will have which doesn't leave much of a future. I wish her the best.
